I have happily been using Swimart for adhoc jobs for 13 years. I recently asked them to purchase and install a new top of the range Polaris pool cleaner as my old one was no longer functioning properly. The staff convinced me to accept an inferior model following consultation with a technician who apparently knew my pool and set up. I think it cost me $1780 for the installation. The cleaner continually gets stuck in multiple locations around the pool. I have called on 4 seperate occasions to be advised it is just a set up issue and the cleaner needs to be configured to my pool. After 4 calls and waiting around 6 weeks I am still waiting for the technician to come and configure the cleaner to my pool. The inferior product is currently completely useless. In addition I have separately been asking them to inspect the salt chlorinator for around 2 months. I am still waiting for this to take place.

We’ve had our pool serviced monthly by St Ives Swimart for years, and the experience has gone downhill dramatically. Every visit seems to bring a new person who doesn’t appear qualified or properly trained. For the second time now, they’ve come out and immediately after, our Dolphin pool cleaner stopped working. The exact same thing happened about a year ago. It’s not a coincidence. Each time, we end up paying to fix the cleaner ourselves, which is completely unacceptable. This week, after their visit, the cleaner is dead again—and now they’re telling us it will take two weeks just to assess the machine. Right before Christmas, when we have guests coming. It’s ridiculous. Frankly, I don’t believe their staff are trained on the equipment—or trained at all. The lack of accountability and the inconvenience caused is beyond frustrating. If you value your time, money, and sanity, look elsewhere.

Dan is always approachable and experienced. He can spot the problem straightaway and fix it. He calls/texts me before or after the job done (always closes the gate so my dog doesn't escape from the backyard!)

Harry came to my pool on the 12/8. Being a first time pool owner I was worry. But Harry professionalism and caring nature guided me and my uncle through the whole pool handover appointment. He is an expert in this industry and he explained everything in depth and provided expert advice for my pool. He is very kind and willing to go the extra mile to help his customer. Swimart St Ives is very fortunate to have a staff like Harry! Highly recommended!

Told me to add 15L of chlorine, then later buy some Chlorine remover to remove it because it’s off the charts for the last 5 days. Details: Went in on Monday to the pool water tested. Was told that I didn’t have enough chlorine and to dump in 15L of chlorine to boost the levels quickly (as well as Acid and Stabiliser). Went back that afternoon to have the water tested again. Told that there’s too much chlorine in the pool but should be safe to swim the next day. It’s been raining for the last 4 days, fortunately, so we haven't used it. Today, 4 days later, went back to get the water tested again. Chlorine is still at 15ppm, 3x the upper limit. Was told to buy 500g of Chlorine Neutraliser to lower the chlorine as it's not safe to swim in for at least another 5 days. Excess chlorine is a health risk as well as damages pool equipment and the pool walls. This is ridiculous!

St Ives Swimart misdiagnosed a problem I was having with water leakage. They recommended a complete replacement of the filter and pump with an approximate cost of $3,500 - $4,000. I subsequently contacted another pool contractor who fixed the problem in 15 minutes for $50.00. My advice is to always get a 2nd or even a 3rd opinion. Swimart were unhelpful, in fact, rude, to the point after 20 years I've said goodbye forever.

We have been using Swimart for almost two years, their service has became very poor lately. Our pool has turned green and the technician did not show up this Thursday (the scheduled service day). I called next day, the staff member said they were going to find out what happened and let me know but nobody ring me back. So I called again in the afternoon and finally got an update that the job got shifted to Friday afternoon- without notification. Then the technician showed up, did some work but the pool colour did not change at all - still as green as muddy as it was. I sent an email explained what happened, no response. I called again on Saturday, the staff member said they are not sure what happened no record of the details of service performed. As a long term customer who has been having scheduled service every three weeks, this sort of service standard was unacceptable.
