I had a problem with my Waterco pool equipment. The issue was with the pump, filter and chlorinator which stopped working. I reported the issues to Swimart in Belconnen. I was promptly contacted by Dave, general manager of Swimart Erindale who tended to my issue. He was very helpful and professional in his dealings with me. He assessed the situation and quickly found the source of the problem. I felt reassured by his knowledge and level of concern. A few days later Van from Swimart attended my premises and replaced the faulty equipment. He was friendly and highly efficient, explaining the work he carried out, and providing much useful information. My pool is functioning perfectly now, and I am very grateful for the prompt service that Swimart provided to resolve the problem. I highly recommend this company and it's staff for all you pool needs.

Seems to be closed every time I go there now. I thought you used to be open both days of the weekend? Will opening hours change as we get into summer?

I love coming to this store—it pretty much has everything you could need for your swimming pool. Recently, I needed to replace my filter, and the whole process was made so much smoother thanks to the incredibly helpful staff. Subarna and Dave were especially patient and thorough in their communication. They gave great advice and clear explanations, making sure I understood exactly what I needed. Really impressed with their service 👍

New management treats customers like a problem from the moment you walk in the door. Gives you the wrong test results which include other customers personal details and doesn’t seem to follow the Australian Privacy Act after you alert them to these practices. Been a customer for several years and spent tens of thousands of dollars, but maybe time to go to another pool shop. I wouldn’t recommend.

I was a regular till I found out that James has left. He was very helpful and always went out of his way to help. Changed the store and it was an excellent service. Staff told me he is now at Capital Country Pools. Looks like we all need to go there now as it's kind of hard to deal with others there with limited knowledge.

Thanks to James and all the helpful staff at Swimart Belconnen. It has been very convenient to get my pool water tested for free and get advice on maintaining the water quality over the past 4 years. Thanks for all the advice on the various products and help me select the best ones. I am very happy with the pool vacuum and the inground pool cover roller. James also did a great job on matching the price on the pool heat pump.

James and team at Swimart Belconnen have been doing an amazing job on my pool and spa for over a year and a half now. Most recently after my pool heater gave out (~8 years old), James worked with me to identify the ideal replacement (Aquatight Invertermax) and managed the whole install with ease. Was pleasantly surprised at just how quiet this runs whilst heating! The team have also been super responsive and available to discuss any number of queries I've had as to ongoing maintenance of the pool/spa and other items which I've purchased from them such as pool robot cleaner etc. Highly recommend anyone who needs their pool/spa looked after to reach out to these guys!

Belconnen Swimart staff are always friendly and helpful. We're new to pool maintenance and they have taken the time to teach us how to look after our pool - not just with chemical testing, but also helping us to diagnose problems with equipment by reviewing videos of our system! Can highly recommend, thanks Swimart :)

My review is one star but would be negative if i could I would not work with or engage Swimart Belconnen again at any price. Prior to 2020, I used them for any services/products and advice and had a great working relationship. The business changed hands, I had a recall notice on the heater to the pool, as necessary I engaged the services of 'the spaman' but found him difficult to work with as he could not commit to availability. The last work the 'Spaman' did for me was on my pool, it didn't work so I went elsewhere for expertise. Spaman is now the tech resource for Belconnen Swimart. In Aug/September I engaged with Swimarts new manager. I had a significant amount of work that needed to be completed on both my pool and spa (not two different facilities that operate completely independently. I spoke with James, expressed the desire for a good relationship. Given NO work could be done on the pool, I booked to have a degrease and clean of my spa (that full operational but dirty). We scheduled that for 30/10/23, I was to be in hospital that week so the spa being unavailable would not be an issue. On 30/10/23, a swimart staff member arrive and began the degrease and clean. Spa was full and fully operational. Swimart return later in the day, I spent some talking with her, but she could not work out how to remove the dirty water. I showed her the release valve, the she got a swimart pump to empty it faster. By this time it was approx 5pm. She said she would do the surface clean and return the next day to refill and balance water. I agree and asked her to power everything down so maintenance cycles would not try to run without water. I was then absent all week (hospital). I had a house/pensioner in my absence. He never entered/used pool or spa. I came home Friday - with medical restricts prohibiting use of pool or spa until mid December. I went and checked spa and it was only half full. Unsure if that was a leak or where swimart had left it I filled the spa and left it overnight. By morning the water had dropped to half full. I contacted swimart on Manday 6 Nov to advise of the leak. I made 11 calls to get them to attend between 6 - 22 Nov. They wouldn't send some one on site and the manager would not take or return my calls. From that point the spa remained untouched until 22 Nov when the manager attended agreed water was low but even looking under spa could not identify the leak. He then tried to turn on the pumps as water movement may identify leak. The pumps were seized and wouldn't work at all. The manager acknowledge everything was working all pumps and no leaks until they attempted to clean it. He offered to send the original tech back and I refused - she didn't know to get water out of spa. He then offered me 'the spaman' who was now working for him. I declined. I wanted a reliable resource to fix the damage. Swimart agreed for me to get a third party to complete all repairs. They offered to supply pumps but the 3rd Party said they did the lot or nothing as they could not provide warranty on parts they didn't source. I communicated all this to James at swimart, I followed with an email asking James to authorise me to engage a third party at Swimart cost. The spa is now working, I have paid the third party, but swimart have now provided numerous reasons why the damage was not their problem and are refusing to pay. I have photos of melted and charred PVC parts that were leaking. This could happen if there was water in the spa, the only time there was no water was on the night of 30 Oct. They have verbally and in writing agreed to liability and repayment of costs. Swimart Belconnen escalated to headoffice and they are refusing despite evidence. I am now taking them to court for the costs. They don't know their business, they provide atrocious customer service, don't honour commitments and I will never deal with again, and will share my story as widely as I can. All they had to do was clean it!!!
