I would suggest that the front desk discuss any billing issues or topics in a different area. The discussion had today was heard by full lobby. Personal information should be treated as such. The second representative we discussed things with was combative and defensive. Customer service coaching would benifit the team of staff members. The entrance could have better signage. The staff calling patients back were wearing gloves touching doors and hard to tell if gloves were clean prior to or changed after. Just an infection control observation.

I had my first appointment today as a new patient with Dr. Merrill. He was very thorough with his explanation of what the next steps would be for my health. He took the time to go over my history and asks questions and answer all of my questions. I feel happy and comfortable with the steps we are taking for my health. He laid out a game plan for me and I feel very confident about it!

Please Beware. Below is the letter I wrote to the provider and his business office manager: Hey Dr Jackson and Trudy, You have a serious problem with the way your business is being run and I think you can confidently mark our family down as dissatisfied with the entire experience. To recap, I came in to your office prior to my wife’s procedure on April 21st and paid your initial fee. I was then instructed to walk next door and check in with their facility. Over there I paid an additional $500, even though I knew we had coverage with BCBS of AZ and unused funds in our Health Equity account that would be applied towards Claudia’s procedure. Sometime in May I visited your office and had a face to face meeting with Trudy regarding the errors on our statement and a subsequent bill we had received for $98. Specifically, there was no record of any payments I had made on April 21st or the funds paid out by Health Equity. Trudy was helpful in explaining how the third party billing company works with proprietary software and how impossible they are for even someone like her to get clear, concise information from in a single phone call. She told me we would eventually receive bills from another entity (we hadn’t received anything to date) and she would do whatever she could to help us ensure we were billed correctly and our account was paid in full. In late June and July, we received confusing and conflicting information from the third party billing company via a series of emails and phone calls. We discovered double billings and incorrect coding on procedures. When we asked for a simple PDF of the billing statements with procedural codes we were ignored. After a few strange emails from your third party billing company we learned that, in fact, we overpaid for Claudia’s procedure and were due a credit. We have had extensive conference calls with BCBS of AZ and Health Equity in addition to my three office visits with Trudy. This has been a big waste of my time, all in an effort to do the right thing. Amazingly, and I can’t make this up, Claudia has been asked by your office when she would like to schedule her follow up endoscopy. Are you serious? Do you think we will trust our healthcare needs to your team in the future? I regret to inform you that we will be adding our own negative review to the multiple negative reviews posted on Google about your business. Dr Jackson, as a young doctor building your practice, I suggest you take a deep dive into the billing department of your operation. I suggest you also interview your patients about their customer service experience with your front office team because they need help too. I can say from first hand experience all of this is negatively impacting your reputation as a skilled provider. You might consider associating with another group if there is no immediate improvement. He’s attentive, never rushes off, he always makes sure I understand everything, takes his time explaining, has excellent bedside manners, and most importantly he has compassion for his patients. Dr. Raxitkumar B. Patel is an excellent Gastroenterologist.

Please heed the other reviews and avoid this place. I needed to undergo a treatment for an infection I had. I can't even begin to express how frustrating it is to call over, and over, and over, and over, without hearing back.. I finished my treatment and then had to call for about 3 weeks to try to get a blood test to confirm the treatment worked just to never hear from them. I had to call another GI specialist just to get the blood test and follow up services that should have been provided by this place. About 15 minutes ago the billing department called me. It hurts my feelings that they wouldn't return my calls related to my health and medical treatment, but they'll call me unexpectedly for my money.. I can't stand in front of the building and tell all of their prospective patients what to expect if they pursue treatment with them, so I'm hoping that at least one person will read this review and take their treatment and money somewhere else.

This place is horrible. Do not go here. The doc i seen couldnt even look at me one time in 30 mins. Looked at her computer the whole time. Never even touched me. Ordered a bunch more tests but the people working there gave me the wrong stuff for the test. The office manager is rude and unhelpful. Told me i was not fit for their office. I asked for the doc to call me to talk about tests results no call from anyone. They ended up ordering the same test over and over. This office clearly doea not care about anyone's health. Save yourself the trouble and do not go here.

Don’t go here! they made me wait 5 hours for my operation and worse than that they didn’t bill to my insurance i called them so many times and they say they’re looking into it and they never billed to my insurance and now they send it to collections agancy!!! who does something like this? they’re horrible
