Had our Christmas works due here. Was nice place cheap drinks and food. Food was good. We were there all evening on a weekday and the staff were very attentive to our needs and giving us a room to ourselves to enjoy our time together. Only thing I would say we had to clear the table ourselves as nobody came to do it. We didn’t mind as we were from customer service ourselves but would have made it a little better if we hadn’t had to.
Went for works Xmas meal December 2022. Excellent food and excellent service from Sandy who served us. Couldn't do enough to make it a brilliant evening. Sandy was full of life, very happy and every thing about Ye Olde Griffin was excellent and could not be faulted. Very good value for money.
This is a little gem in March High Street. We stayed for one night 7/11/22. Reception were lovely Our room was clean and warm. The superking bed was so comfortable. The towels soft and fluffy. Tea/coffee tray full. All this followed by a great cooked breakfast the following morning. The value for money is amazing. Thank you.
Went out for lunch on a Saturday and although it was busy it didn't delay the service. Very friendly and good that they are dog friendly with dog bowls, water and treats. Food was excellent and generous too especially the puddings Good range of food. Would go back again. Very nice inside with little alcoves so it doesn't seem you are on top of each other.
We had a birthday party in the carvery area . Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet menu food was absolutely 1st class. Everybody had the most enjoyable evening. Yes, we were charged for the food, but we weren’t charged for the area we held the party in. So if you want to hold a party for around 35 people, I highly recommend the Griffin.
