Wasteless Pantry Bassendean

Why on earth do you claim to be wasteless when you can see that you use plastic containers? you cannot advertise as one thing and go against it.

Seasonal products are a treat like the dairy-free and package-free chocolate Valentines Day love hearts 💖. Will be back for a slab of package-free chocolate following a staff recommendation! 😋 *** Great shop, lots of refills available so you can bring your own container to stock up on food, maple syrup, body lotion, toothpaste, toothpaste tablets, coconut oil, essential oils, dish wash liquid and so much more. Package free bar soap is available too. One of my favourite things ... make your own peanut butter! Just bring a clean jar and you can grind your own Peanut butter and even Chocolate Hazelnut Butter! 😋 Super friendly staff and even a "wish list" board where you can add products that you'd like Wasteless Pantry to stock. Good selection of reusable coffee cups, water bottles, Lunchboxes etc. But wait, there's more! A recycling station where you can recycle glass jars (with lids which are sterilised and reused instore), along with things like oral care waste, ink cartridges and a number of other recycling streams. A wonderful place to spend an afternoon discovering all they have to offer. We need more shops like Wasteless Pantry so please go and support them if you can, you won't regret it! Tldr/summary at the end I regularly come here for groceries. Great variety of common as well as hard to find items and at a great price too. The employees are very helpful and if you leave them with a list they will measure and store your food for you while you shop elsewhere. The store also has a variety of recycling boxes for things such as plastic bottle caps and can tabs, as well as a jar donation box. You don't even need to bring your own jars to shop as there is a large basket at the front of the store that holds a variety of different jars that have been previously donated. There are two complementary weighing scales at the front of the store so you can measure and label your jars. You also don't have to worry about paying for the weight of the container as they subtract its weight at the checkout and you only pay for your product. There is also a wide variety of food for those with dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and halal. Usually, different varieties of the same product can also be found. Food is not the only thing this store sells, they also have a multitude of cleaning supplies and soaps. Reusable household items such as cleaning cloths, containers etc can also be found. Tldr: Good variety, great prices, special/uncommon items, helpful staff and many household items available. Definitely recommended for people who want to take care of their health and the earth.

So Glad to know this exists in WA. BYO jars and bottles to refill your laundry detergent, nuts, curry powder, chocolates etc. Also sells stainless steel straws and cleaning brushes from $15 onwards. Prices not the cheapest but you’d be saving the earth.
