I’ve had okay experiences here in the past, but today my husband went to his appointment and was turned away for being five minutes late (truly only five minutes, I’m not editing that number to make him look better). I understand punctuality is considerate and important, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard or seen of someone getting turned away from most any appointment for being five minutes late. I don’t know if this is standard practice at this place as I’ve never had any issues in the past but it was definitely off-putting. I work somewhere where appointments are made months in advance and if someone showed up five minutes late, we would never turn them away as it just kinda reads “I don’t want to help you and am looking for an excuse to turn you away”. Not saying that is the case here but as a customer who doesn’t know a whole lot about their scheduling system here, that’s the way it comes off. Anyways, I’m sure we will be back but this extremely strict stance on lateness is frustrating.

Doctor and staff were incredibly nice and helpful! Got my eye exam and picked out glasses. Great experience
Because of traffic we were 6 minutes late to our appointment, we even left early from our house but for some reason it took a little bit longer to get there and right as we walked in one of the workers was like your late come back next week but like I was missing something to be there like and have had that appointment for weeks so we left and went to the place a little down the hall from it, the people at the other place instantly had an appointment and were really awesome and nice, go to vision works for glasses but not appointments
The exam was fine and I got the contact lens prescription I needed, as expected. I liked the doctor I saw. Staff tried to be helpful but really weren’t informed about insurance and I ended up paying a little bit more than I expected out of pocket because the retinal photos they took weren’t covered by my insurance. I wasn’t offered an alternative so I assumed it was part of the routine exam that should have been covered. Now I know.
I can’t speak to the quality of the glasses yet, since I’m still waiting for them but, the staff was wonderful and Dr. Parry was the sweetest. He took lots of time explaining everything to me since this was my first eye exam and my first time needing glasses. He took my profession into account with his recommendations on lenses and was just all around wonderful. Would love to come back to see him again!
