Will & Bob did a great job when I dropped my car off for service, after having my vehicle shot during a drive by shooting while getting gas in Cleveland. As always, the work was high quality and the price was reasonable. The staff also gave me some other recommendations on what to look for if other part of my car is damaged from the bullet or ricochet, which was helpful. I always get quality service that I trust is done correctly at this Tuffy and all of the people I’ve worked with are genuinely good people, and are experts in what they do.

Made an appointment to have brakes and rotors done. Even brought my own parts. When I dropped the car I tried to explain to Will that I had discovered the source of the smell I was concerned about - there's black soot all over one of my hubcaps. Something must be stuck. Well Will interrupted me and didn't want to hear it. He was more interested in talking about his personal vehicle project with another customer. That's fine, I dropped the car and left. When I picked it up later I noticed as soon as I pulled off the lot that my check engine light was on. Pulled over and read the codes, there were 2 and in the 5 years I've had this car it's never thrown those codes. I went back and for the record was NOT hostile - did not raise my voice, and kept reiterating that I am just concerned about my car and want to make sure these codes are not a danger to me or the vehicle if I keep driving. Will was immediately very defensive, said he "couldn't remember" if the light was on when they worked on the car, kept repeating that it was "a fluke" and that there's no way they could have done anything. I mean I guess, yeah, coincidences happen. But my concern was having these 2 codes on my car and causing damage by driving it. He offered to disable the codes for me but I don't really see that as a solution. I insisted that I'd really like to know more before continuing to use the vehicle and that as an auto mechanic they should at least be able to tell me more about the codes. To this he said word for word, "I don't know what you expect us to do." That's when I stopped and stared, like, are you serious right now? Then why did I even come to a mechanic? Took it to another shop down the road and was treated much better, as if, shocker, they were happy to have me as a customer. Oh, and as I was checking out at Tuffy's I was again ignored, handed my receipt, and given a "You're all set." Will was still very involved in discussing personal matters (his car) with the same customer. I said "Hey, I get that you're in a conversation, but can we please take a minute and talk about my car?" ...This would have been a great time for Will to bring up that my check engine light was on, but apparently none of the mechanics "remembered" that it was on... Yikes. Isn't that auto mechanic 101? Telling the customer the code is "just a fluke" is really not a good look. And ignoring the customer and not giving basic courtesy to take a few minutes and go over the vehicle on check out? Bad customer service. (I only stress this because the receipt mentioned needing additional work done and it'd be nice to actually have this explained to me rather than ignored. It was only gone over after I brought it up.) EDIT - No, this was the day before the storm, and it was apparently not that busy if Will was able to lean across the counter jawing about personal matters for hours rather than attend to a paying customer. I'd recommend watching your video footage to see how I was treated and what really happened.
Will was very informative and direct, he let me know what was vital to be done on my car and what could wait a bit!! Tyler’s attention to detail in my repair was very refreshing.. I had time so I hung around and got to see a bit of the service being performed! I even witnessed a customer who wasn’t very kind to the staff and Will was able to deescalate the situation making the unhappy customer understand the situation.. I will surly be bring my vehicle back to this shop for all of its maintenance needs!! Did I mention the price was extremely fair… check them out guys seriously!
They got me in the same day I called. They were extremely nice. I found out my car was pretty much not worth fixing, plus the place I was taking it to before I brought it to them was scamming me out of tons of money fixing it but Tuffy was honest and told me everything that was really wrong with it even physically showed me. They said not to waste money just get a new one which sucked but I appreciated the honesty because they coulda just took my money and not said anything. They didn’t even charge me for looking at it because they could tell I was upset about it. I would recommend them to anyone.!
I went in bc my muffler busted, & when I came out, I didn't even realize my car was on - it's NEVER been that quiet since I've owned it!!! I was OVERLY satisfied w/ their work, and though it was a bit pricier than I was expecting, they SHOWED me the problems w/ the car, & worked w/ me on the price! I'd would recommend them.
