The Waverley Care Centre

Despite previous reviews that might seem like the Waverley is a hospice for final days of loved ones, it's not and should not be considered as hospice type care. The Waverley is a care home for the elderly who simply need more help and focused care than can be given at home. This might include when home-help or district nurses are not enough, or when family members are struggling to be the primary carer (especially if primary carer is similar age). The staff and programs and level of care is tailored to each resident for for as long as needed which can include respite for primary carers or long term care. Yes, of course this can mean the best home and final home due to illness or disability but it should not be seen as 'Final Days' - more of a new chapter and a new home. My Dad loves the Waverley and all the staff. He has been a resident for a while and the Waverley is certainly not a hospice for final days... but a new home and massive reassurance to me, my Sister and his wife that he is well taken care of.

Excellent care centre, nursing facilities cured mum in law of physical ails. They now look after her in Avery caring manner.

Excellent care and compassion shown to my Mum in her last days. Also looked after me with regular tea and biscuits, during long visiting hours.

Family member cared for here. Can't say im impressed, especially for the price they charge p/w!! The amount of times I've gone to visit to be told days later that hes has a fall days earlier is absolutely absurd!! Staff half competent, other half young and imature or old and rude. Money grabbers within the care inustry just for a change!

My Mum the late Mrs Jean Maunder, received care from ALL of the staff, they gave Mum the care and support that was unconditionality, they never left my Mum alone in her final weeks. They also supported our families throughout the heart wrenching time when Mum did pass away. And all that I can say is a very big "Thank you All" YOU ARE ALL ANGELS WITH INVISIBLE WINGS" God bless you all.
