Our family of 6 (2 parents and kids aged 9-18) came to for the Tyrell and since we are being honest chose the T-rest mainly because of the amusing name. What we found was so far above our expectations after a long road trip full of generic chain hotels that the Tyrell seemed like a side show. The attention to detail and quality of the house and rooms, the amazing food and wealth of tasteful and fun artifacts are exceptional. Truly a gem well worth a visit.

A marvel of hospitality and comfort in the Badlands, with a historic heart that beats stronger than ever. Our stay couldn't have been more relaxing and we couldn't have picked a better home base for our getaway. Shawn's hospitality and his commitment to warm and welcoming service shows a true passion for care and community. From suggestions of local fare, to rooms that comfort and fascinate in equal measure, from luxurious breakfasts, to the rich local and personal history on display; there's a thoughtfulness here that defies all expectation. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in the region and we look forward to returning as soon as we can!

This was my first experience at a B&B and I couldn't have been more impressed. Shawn is interesting and delightful, he took care of everything I needed but still gives plenty of personal space. The home is a show-stopper, built in the 19teens and he's worked hard to give it a beautiful period feel. My room was perfect, and gosh can that guy cook! Breakfast was outstanding each of the four mornings I was there. Located in the center of town, lots of things are walkable (including the excellent craft brewery two doors down and the distillery across the street), but it wasn't noisy. Be sure to check out Shawn's ice cream shop right across from the giant dinosaur! If your plans take you to Drumheller, you *must* stay at Tyrannosaurus Rest.

The Tyrannosaurus Rest B&B is THE MUST STAY location in Drumheller. It has it all ... great location, amazing rooms, superb hosts and wonderfully tasty breakfasts. Shawn provides a great overview of the unique features and history of the house and was very helpful in identifying things to do and see in the area. The location of the TR B&B is very convenient to anything in the downtown area and only minutes away from the Royal Tyrell museum. And make sure you stop at the Valley Ice Cream Shoppe (also owned by Shawn and Wayne).... crazy good.
