Great experience at this salon from the moment I walked in - friendly staff and relaxing experience. As for the hairstyling.... Jackson is amazing. Was a little apprehensive restyling my hair from long to mid length. Showed him a moodboard of what I thought might like and he nailed it, and has awesome energy too. Love how my hairstyle turned out ... thanks Jackson... see you guys again soon :)

I've been seeing Jackson at The New Black for nearly 5 years and every time, my colour turns out even better than before. He’s incredibly honest and will always let me know if my photo references won’t give the same results on my hair. His talent is unmatched, and he consistently nails the perfect look. I’m so grateful for his talent and care!

I was going there for abit but unfortunately I stopped as I had a new stylist and they burn my scalp really bad I have been blonde for almost 6-7 years and my hair was really long and after that it all started to fall out they said to me when I first started going how healthy and long my hair was for being a blonde and now my hair was ruined ever since so it’s still a working process to get my hair back healthy again as yes I know blonde hair is a difficult colour but I have never had a problem with having a burn scalp in my whole time of being blonde I was paying at least $600 every time I went there and I have told them about it and all they said was it normal which yes it is but not as bad as I had it where I had to go to the doctors to get help with my scalp so I have learned with that place you are not just paying for the people or the drinks you are paying for the location and you could get the same amount of service and beverages and Payless so I do wish you all the best but I won’t be returning Hope this help future blondes

Always a treat to visit the spectacular salon of The New Black Industries. With a cafe attached and the experience of all of the stylists, it’s a comfortable and safe environment. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! Ambah is also my go to girl, colour specialist indeed!

Always amazing service! Great salon & Gabby always gives me the perfect cut - she somehow manages each time to get it just right, which is not easy with such a short female cut. The little head massage with wash & bubblies make my appointment here such a treat :)

I recently had my hair colour refreshed with Georgia and I am so happy with the result! Georgia was really patient with me and my requests and helping me to understand what was possible with my hair colour and what process would need to be undertaken to achieve my desired look. There was no pressure to spend out of my budget, and my requests were respected, listened to and worked with. I really appreciated Georgia’s lovely temperament with me, taking her time, especially as I was going through a particularly hard time and had a really rough day - it was such a relief to have a stylist who was knowledgeable and ensured that I left the salon feeling happy. Definitely will be seeing Georgia again ☺️☺️

I came in for the first time on Saturday and had a blowout with Fletcher. Salon is beautiful and Fletcher was amazing! Extremely thorough, kind and professional. I often get my hair blowaved at salons and his blowout was close to the best I've had. He listened to what I wanted and asked lots of questions. Very happy! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Newcastle. xx

Amazing service from all staff, beautiful salon.

Went and saw fletcher for a wash and blow dry with my weft extensions. I was blown away by his professionalism and talent. The best style I have had in a very long time !!! Couldn’t recommend him enough !
