great place for a casual fine dinning seafood. — Wonderful location, and the smell from the kitchen simply makes you wanna eat, the seafood was fresh and well done. not cheap, but good. The atomosphere was frendly and cheerful.

Both fish and meat are delicious — I visited because I was entertained by a business partner. Despite the stately building, the interior decor is both modern and elegant. The food is impeccable with seafood like rock oyster, scallops and fish, and Aussie beef steak. We even had salt-flavored ice cream (with olive oil) for dessert. The slightest thing is the flow of traffic in the store, and you have to cut through the middle of the live kitchen area to get to the toilet, almost bumping into the staff. Taking that into account, we have dropped one star to four.
Merivale magic — Exemplary dining experience, service was professional but sincere. Food was excellent from the Steak Tartare down to the Soufflés. View over Coogee Beach is spectacular. Highly recommended.
Birthday of the son 🎉🎊🍾🥂 — Came here as a family for the birthday of the son , beautiful place. We had lunch on the 1st floor. Open kitchen with all these beautiful dishes that made you want. We were in a privileged place where we could see Coogee beach. Thanks to the kitchen , the welcome and the staff for this special moment for Vincent 🎉🎊🍾 . We will be back 👏
The Mediterranean at the table! — The formula of dishes to share and very friendly. The food was very fine and delicious. The waitress Auxanne was very caring for us. Really, I recommend this restaurant both for the flavor of the dishes, the formula to share friendly and impeccable Service!!! We will be back 👍.
Money, money, money…. — Wow, who wouldn't want to pay $420 for a completely unremarkable pasta dish with a lobster, and then shell out another $180 to bring the total to $600 per couple for the privilege of a lunchtime dining at this clearly overpriced venue?
OMG have the potato scallop and caviar, and lobster pasta. Heavenly. — This is the second time I've been to Mimi's. The building and interiors are lovely, staff exceptionally professional and friendly. Whilst not on the menu, had no hesitation making the (classic) cocktail I requested. Excellent wine recommendations with subtle explanation of price points, appreciated. I couldn't understand how the 'potato scallop snack with caviar' could be $55 for one piece - it was explained and my friends made me order it anyway. I think it is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I'm having 3 next time! We ordered the lobster pasta to share with salad and chips and tarragon sauce. It was utterly divine. Desserts were lovely. I can't wait to go back, I'm going to order exactly the same again.
Birthday party — We came to celebrate birthday 12 adults and one child the food was delicious and the service was great Parking in the street facility was very clean
Highly recommend ☆☆☆☆☆ — Mimi..Mimi..Mimi. Thank you for a fabulous evening. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Atmosphere was relaxed even though it was busy. Antoine was on point and elevated our evening with great service and humour. Highly recommended. We loved it.
Beachside Fine Dining — We did the coast walk from Bondi to Coogee (props for having such an inviting seaside stroll, Sydney!) and were thirsty and hungry when we got to Coogee. We aimlessly wandered in to Mimi's, thinking we'd get a quick lunch, only to realize we'd landed in fine-dining land. We had no reservation and were in tshirts and shorts, but in spite of this the host gave us a table in the bar. Holy moly, did we luck out! To be fair, it was very pricey, but everything was delicious and our servers were spectacular. In terms of accidental fine-dining, we hit the jackpot. Highly highly recommend, but maybe not in shorts next time. (The other floors of the old pavilion have more casual food on offer, in case you don't want to splash out, but I do think it was worth it.)
Discrimination on tattooed person, To flee!!! — After booking for our wedding the restaurant cancels us 30 minutes before dinner because I have tattoos. It is unprofessional and it is discrimination and racism. I don't recommend this place. Luckily a restaurant in Sydney + luxurious that this mimi's wanted us with a table with more than 30 people. Just to tell this restaurant that the tattooed community is pissing you off as a racist.
Very nice Saturday lunch — Well what can I say? A tremendous restaurant with great atmosphere We asked the waiter to just select things from the menu which could have left us open to an extremely large bill but he chose a balanced and fair selection of meals available and the bill was entirely reasonable. Cleon tell a chic smart fashionable a real place to watch people go by and enjoy fantastic food. Will be back again when my travel plans permit.
Awful — Awful. Sat next to 2 noisy young women who were taking coke every 20m and beyond loud. Staff kept serving when they were well over their limit. Great place to take some drugs, rubbish place for dinner. Manager happy to turn a blind eye.
Disgusted in the way I was treated, — I came here in December for my engagement and had the worst experience of my life. I have a hearing disability and was just engaged, literally an hour before dinner. My mum was making a speech to congratulate us (I was literally filming before we were interrupted by the staff) and were told we were too loud and need to quieten down. I explained that i have a hearing issue and if my mums talking louder its because i am partially deaf, his response was I don't care, be quiet. I started crying and we left. I sent an email to them after the incident and didn't get a reply. I emailed them again in January and no reply. To be treated like this is disgusting and the video I have shows that it was louder in the restaurant than my mum was speaking. To treat someone with a disability like this is horrible, his response was even worse. Then not to get so much as a reply to my complaint, i expected more, especially from a company like Merivale
Whoa - truly memorable eating experience — This is a truly amazing restaurant delivering a memorable experience in tastes and choices Four of us shared a huge selection of snacks, mains, sides, deserts and drinks It is expensive but it is absolutely fine dining Service was excellent Food was super
Fab location and food — Beautiful food and wines in a very elegant setting. Staff were amazing , warm, friendly and helpful. Dishes you can share which I like to do. Waiter was excellent in helping judge how many dishes to order and was exactly right to say one extra not needed. Wine suggestion was perfect.
Wow — Wow. Amazing restaurant interior, views. Service was next level. Oysters were amazing as are with all Merivale restaurants. The food was nice. Beautiful presentation. Amazing cocktails. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic restaurant, try ice cream with olive oil! — My son and I accidentally dropped by at Mimi's and they had room for us. We were little bit underdressed but that didn't matter. I was blow away by professionalism staff, quality food and total ambiance. They served a broad supply of non-alcoholic wines and other beverages. Ice cream topped with olive oil was superb. One of best restaurants I visited in a while...
Superb Cuisine with a view — Top notch food with a view! Wonderful attentive service. Beautiful interiors…like an upmarket farm house. Pricey but worth it 10/10
Possibly Sydney's Most Expensive Restaurant, better elsewhere — We were so looking forward to Mimi's, our second visit in the last two years. I have no issue paying top dollar but do expect good service, a beautiful and thoughtful menu and nice wine selection. We we're a group of six and found the menu really unappealing - whilst it's showcasing Australian produce (tick for that) the menu is a bit all over the shop. As if no rhyme or reason. And crazy expensive, entree pasta $60, lamp chops $120. And portion sizes are small, not really ideal for sharing. The other issue was the service, greeted beautifully to start but service at the table was patchy, had to ask twice for our main courses as over an hour since finishing entree and nothing coming out of the kitchen. And waiter seemed pretty disinterested in being overly helpful. Would we go back? After our group decamped before desert (we didn't want to wait another hour) we all discussed the experience and concluded none of us would return (and all locals who entertain clients and friends regularly). Shame, beautiful location but the average menu and crazy crazy prices pushed us over the edge.
