Husband had an early 8:05 appointment with Dr. Leslie Phillips. There were 5 people here all waiting to see Dr. Phillips with the same appointment time!
How do I know that? I asked the group "everyone here waiting to see Dr. Phillips for 8:00 a.m. appointment please raise your hand." Everyone raised their hands.
My husband was called at 8:15 but not to see Dr. Phillips. He was taken to "testing" instead.
So what's up with testing? The appointment was to see the doctor and not for more tests. He already had tests done in Athens TN with his regular OD Dr. Trey Sullins.
Dr. Sullins sent him to Southeast Eye Specialists in Athens Tennessee who referred him to Chattanooga SEES location..
Testing lasted about 15 minutes.
Now the wait to see doctor was short. In the exam room husband was told he also has to see their retina doctor next month.
8:30 in room waiting for doctor Phillips.
8:40 Doctor Phillips brought in student. Both examples him
Another person came in to be assigned scheduling and procedure options and out of pocket costs.
So the procedure will be different for each eye incurring different costs
9:00 still trying to schedule surgery...
We should have brought a pillow and some food..

Having to wait more than an hour to see a Doctor is ridiculous. To add insult to injury all you see is half the staff standing around just talking. They don't value your time here. We will be going elsewhere next time.

Hey all Wanda here…let me start this post by saying that I am not one to get on social media and share my feelings. But I feel as if this is important for anyone considering using this eye specialists group. My doctors were Dr. Phillips and Dr. Kim (whom I never laid my eye on). My journey started several weeks ago with an initial visit with Dr Phillips several test were ran and the surgery was discussed. After I shared that in 2012 Dr Woolfson (wonderful) performed Lasik surgery I was told that I would need further testing, so I made another appointment. I was told that lasik could be challenging never mentioned that fact that my vision might be worse or the same. Lead me to believe that I would need to do the laser surgery because of my stigmatism. Costing an additional $1,600. I told her I don’t have an extra $3,200 (each eye) so she said you want basic? Never saying after we immediately remove the cataract you will need glasses or contacts. Lead me to believe that would be in the future. So, of course, I said okay. I even said so when I’m 80 I will still be able to see? Her reply was “yes” didn’t mention glasses or contact. I had surgery on 6/3 and my vision is worse than before the procedure. But to my surprise when I went to my post opt appointment with Dr Johnson at Braun in Dalton he said the blurriness isn’t because of your stigmatism. WHO knew but they wanted $3200 more!!! So, now I have a messed up eye and will be wearing glasses immediately. I have older parents and friends that have went through this surgery and have just over the last couple of years have started wearing cheaters. Dr.Phillips wants me to come in for a follow up and discuss replacing the current lens. But guess what she wants $2650!!! Oh I said I don’t have that much money. She said because the cataract was removed my insurance will not pay. Then she said maybe call Dr. Woolfson and see if he can do lasik on that eye “it might be cheaper”!!! So, I called and guess what Dr Woolfson said no I would need a procedure called PRK costing $2800 . So, what does this tell me about the doctors at SouthEast Eye??? People do your homework because I am very unhappy and wouldn’t recommend these “so called professionals” to anyone not even my dog. Oh yeah…I’ll be calling and requesting my records.

Dr. Previl is one of the best doctors I’ve seen. He is clearly knowledgeable in his field, and he makes sure that I understand what is going on. He listens to me, makes sure that he understands what I’m experiencing, and is diligent in making sure that I get better. He is a great doctor.

Had a 1:30 appointment, at 2:30 I left. My time is as important to me as theirs is to them. Will not go back and would never recommend this place to anyone.
