Brilliant local
Best pub in Cumbernauld for the football has plenty of TV so always a seat with a veiw . Great deal on the small plates which is ideal if your just looking for some finger food to share with the boys whilst having a few beers
Nice pub. Food is lovely and reasonably priced. Staff are great
Took my mum out for lunch yesterday. The place was busy, but the team did let us know there would be a little time for our food to arrive. We could see how stressed the kitchen were through their service window and the amount of tickets they had up. The food was well worth the wait though, and the guys at the bar were so positive and helpful through it all, even though the place was really busy. Very nice and clean place to be.
I never usually attend the Smiddy as it is a bit far out for myself, however my visit last night was amazing all thanks to the new barman Steven. I have never met someone who shows such pride in their work. My whole group ensured that when we were served it was by him. He was so friendly and had us all laughing. Service with a smile is an understatement. He was so thoughtful when it came to my pregnant friend and told her about the zero% options and even gave her a soft shot to include her with the rest of our group. Will definitely be visiting more often. Thank you barman Steven!
Booked a table for boxing day! Was a total shambles, not enough staff, ran out of draft Coors before 4pm then ran out of all draft beer by 10pm, its owned by a brewery!!! Asked for the boxing day menu to order our food, told there wasnt one, confused by this cos there is one on the smiddy website!! However on a better note the food we ordered was great, big portions & piping hot, good value, one minus is they had no pizzas!! We visit here regularly, but it appears increasingly chaotic!
