Tonight I ordered two very mild butter chicken and 4 nan breads Mild kids πone butter chicken was delivered I called and had them bring the other one First was to hot for kids Second half an hour or more later second one came it was hot and watery 4 tiny peices of chicken and I had to pay delivery. I will never buy from this place again. They canβt understand what you want but they do when it comes to the money. Eat here at your own peril. Takeaway is expensive and to be ripped off . Shamans should be ashamed

Shavans Patterson Lakes Indian Restaurant

I will never again order food from this restaurant. Which is a real shame because we like to support local. First time we got take away over a year ago, it took 90 minutes of us waiting in the car for the order to be ready. Tonight we thought weβd try again via a delivery service. An hour after ordering, the restaurant cancelled. I get it. Times are tough. But if you want customers, treat them better.
The ambience is okay, service is impressive, a bit pricey however, in my opinion if you're from India, don't expect the food to suit your palette or meet your expectations. The recipe is curated in accordance with the Aussies in mind, which is fair enough. Will I visit this place or any other Shavans restaurant, the answer is probably no.
The food is still delicious. We have been visiting Shavans for 20+ years. We have seem the restaurant grow into what it is today. The service was very friendly and prompt Reception/management staff need to be mindful where they have a disagreement. The food was delicious as always. There is an extensive menu, and great options for everyone. Including vegetarians and vegans. Shavans is no longer BYO. It is family/children friendly We will be back again.
I went in for dinner with my girlfriend on Saturday night and was incredibly impressed with everything. The place itself was beautifully decked out with a nice elevated view and warm family-friendly atmosphere. We ordered the tandoori lamb cutlets as an entree, the beef vindaloo & chicken kadai as mains with rice and garlic naan. The food was not only delicious but the service was also top notch. Special care was taken by our server Dipthi who clarified questions we had regarding spice level and her personal favourites on the menu. Even our host Devar was very hospitable and ended up going by table by table and to ensure the food was enjoyed by the patrons. Importantly this was done in a short and non-intimidating way as you could tell he has a passion and care for the food in the restaurant. Overall the experience was great and will definitely be back again.
