The chairs at the waiting rooms are old...some are about to be torn, and in such a bad shape that I don't want to sit on it. Also, the bathroom is dirty and not well maintained.
I just want to thank the office for seeing me in the state of emergency I was about a week ago or so. I had my first ocular migraine and I thought something really bad is happening. They were so kind to see me right away when I called and the doctor was so nice, explained everything in detail and he was so understanding. I had a great experience. I think I saw Dr Cho! Wonderful doctor. I highly recommend!
1. Duplicate appointments (insulting): My apointment was the first (earliest) in the morning after the cateract surgery and found out there were many (at least 10+ people) had the same appointment time. It reflects they ignored the patients' precious time. It's at the insulting level. When the door was open after waited at the narrow hallway, all had to rush in (of course pushing people away) to compete for signing in ASAP. 2. Lack of coordination among staffs: After the first staff dilated my left eye and left, the second staff met after 20 mimutes neither knew if my eye was dilated nor which eye was dilated. They have serious procedure and management issues. Also the washing room is dirty... the photos are attached.
The worst doctors waiting for 2 hours and still wanting when you have an appointment! Over booking patients because they are greedy!
Very unprofessional. Cannot keep appointment times. Things that can be handled in one visit spread over multiple appointments to collect co-pays. If you are a young person, you will be bumped in line while waiting for dr for every geriatric patient that walks in. Dr is rushed and doesn't address patient symptoms or concerns. Staff besides front desk is great but the rest of this office is a mess.
I was referred to Dr. Cho for cataract surgery and had both eyes operated by Dr. Cho. The result is fair, not as good as Dr. Claimed but I can survive. I had at least 10 visits during the surgery and post surgery. The whole place was, in one word, like a crowded market place! Mostly Korean speaking people . Waiting and yelling and etc. The doctor seemed so busy, and I do not think he spent more thane one minute average during my visits! I am fully insured and I could have gone to any institution I wanted such as UCLA Medical Center. This Serrano Eye Center is a night mare for patient care! I will never go back there.
My father has been going to the office for many years. Each time he was making an appointment, he couldn’t help expressing his frustration because their receptionist service is terrible. I don’t understand why the office doesn’t address this type of issues. Very disappointing.
La ambulancia de las fotos no funciona , es lo peor qué hay ... el reto a los pacientes es horrible no les reportan ni te tratan con cortesía.
I just took my 80 year old mother to this eye center. Wow, i work 9 months out of a year in Korea for the pass 10 years and I could not believe my eyes how inefficiency the clinic was operating! Good people, but wrong ways. I'm not an expert in this field but was able to notice one thing immediately!!! Your dealing with elders and the workers are young. Younger people move/act fast the elder CAN NOT.....if I can make a suggestion before our beloved elders get hurt amongst the fast traffic of this very well intended clinic. SLOW DOWN amongs elders!
Do not go here! Hans Kim that examined me is very rude. condescending and has no patience. He might be a medical doctor, but he needs to learn to interact with patients.
We found another doctor that is a specialist and the EXACT same procedure she needs to regularly get, no longer hurts her. I mean it was really hurting when going to this Dr. I can't believe how desensitized some Doctors are and treat people like numbers, that's what we felt like. Any questions we ask was replied by "it's ok" without the kind of communication we needed. I heard about doctors who become doctors because their parents wants them to or they do it for status or money, I'm not sure that's the case for this place but we sure did feel like another number.
I've been coming here for years. And always for an eye infection. The wait time is long, but that's bc they have a whole room full of patients waiting so I suggest coming maybe earlier if you want to be seen at the time of your appointment otherwise you'd had to wait 30-1hour to be seen. But the doctors are very good and sometimes they will just give you the meds if they have it. They speak mostly Korean but can speak English
I have been going to this clinic for regular check ups. Last week I went because my eyes were red and burning. I called on Wednesday Sept 23rd to make an appointment and a girl told me they were full until October 15th, I told her it was an emergency and then she told me that I could go on Saturday Sept 26th, that she "would placed me on a waiting list to be seen and that I could go between 1:00 - 2:00p.m". When I arrived there and register they told me that I didn't had an appointment, I explained to them what happened and they said that "nobody left a note or booked an appointment and that I had to wait for more than 1 hour, maybe 2, because the doctor just took his lunch and he had another appointments, that it was better to reschedule it" I decided to wait as my eyes were really bad, then a nurse comes and asks me the payment method for the appointment, I said cash and then they inmediatedly passed me. The doctor checked my eyes in less than 20 minutes and told me they were just dry and that it was very common because "nowdays everybody spends too much time on their cellphones and computers" he gave me eye drops and that was it. After 3 days my eyes were still red and burning. I went to another doctor to have a second opinion and he told me that it was allergies due to the fires and pollution, he gave me medicines for it and my eyes were healed the next day. I wasted $100 to be seen just for 20 minutes to tell me that my eyes were dry, after being unfairly treated and then immidiatedly passed after I said I was going to pay cash. I'm really dissappointed and will consider next time going to this place If I need to check my eyes.

I am in the waiting room and there is prick that I have to follow some hippa crap. Okay. My ignorance but I wakes them not to make copies of my id. All the fucking idiot had to say was that they don't keep it. They send it in and that is it. And then the prick told me to leave if I am not happy. This ducking dump has too many patients and they don't know how to take care of people. I am ignorant but Nah Kim is fucking idiot that doesn't know how to talk to people. Update. They refused care because I said if any problems arise then they don't want to have problems. I am not sure but this is fishy and it is rididulous that I gabe them permission they still refused care. I have been waiting to see a doctor For a while and now I am back in the waiting game. Korean doctors are all about the money and guess what this place is no different. I hope they get sued for all they do wrong.
Do NOT go here. Do NOT send your parents here. They do not spend enough time with each patient. They do not have the time to thoroughly examine the patients. Most of the patients are elderly Koreans who prefer speak korean. I am shocked on what happened to my mom. It took me years to get a second opinion and I encourage you to do the same if you or your loved ones go here. My entire family is really upset and I hope you don't make the same mistakes.
My mom had glaucoma and cataracts surgery with Dr. Cho and my experience at this Serrano Center was not pleasant. We made an appointment for 1 PM and our ended around 4:30PM. They overbook patients and let people just wait there. It was like a zoo there. There were so many people waiting. The 2nd time, I made an appointment for 8:15 and we ended up coming out of there 11:30. It's just too ridiculous that they over book. They should only book people that they can handle. Also, my moms eye surgery the doctor made her eye vision too microscopic. I do not recommend this place
I had a terrible experience with this place. I needed a Glaucoma examination due to my periotic check up. I called to make an appointment and I was told that it will cost me $180 for the exam and initial checkup for the first visit. I went there last Saturday. They were so busy and all rooms were all occupied, waiting for the doctor. I was told that I have to wait a while for my check up and it was close to closing time; I told them I will make an another appointment to come back but they made me to wait. I waited a while and the doctor came to my room, asked me a few questions regarding any health issue and wanted me to make an appointment for a Glaucoma exam and he left... That was about a 4 minute consultation. I had to pay $150 for the visit and office admin told me that I have to pay another $220 for the exam. How does this make any sense?? Also, when I make an appointment they said they will claim the bill to my insurance to see if it will be covered but the office admin wanted me to pay first because she thought it would not be covered. I asked them how much is the first visit, they said it will be $80 to $150. They forced me in the room to make a quick $150. I felt so bad when I left. I do not recommend this place for ANY of your eye needs
