Seafront lounge

We dined at the Seafront Lounge a few days ago. The young waiter who served us was lovely and the views fantastic. We ordered starters of octopus in butter and stuffed calamari as well as the mixed fish platter with a Greek salad to share as a main. The salad was bought out early but it wasn’t a hot evening so that wasn’t really an issue. The octopus starter came out first with the stuff calamari at least ten mins later. We hadn’t planned to share but it would have been awkward to have one person eating while the other waited or have the first starter cold. Both the octopus and the stuffed calamari were lovely with a soft texture. Not a rubber band in sight. Unfortunately, the fish platter was a massive disappointment. The vast majority of the fish was dry and over cooked. However, the real disappointment was both the atmosphere, namely the photo shoot and drone flying going on behind us and the bill. There was an unfamiliar charge which my husband used google translate to understand, it was 10% of the bill and therefore looked like service. We asked to pay by credit card and when the machine was bought over, the older manager was very quick to tell us that service was not included. This was the first time in our week long stay that someone had effectively told us to tip (which we had been doing anyway). When we asked what the charge on the bill was, we were told it was a ‘tax’. My husband pointed out that it had not been listed on any other itemised bill that we had been presented with but we paid and left. Overall, the starters and service were great but it was marred by the dry main course and the managers attitude

This is THE best seafood restaurant in Istanbul, no doubt. The food, the Staff, and the view to die for. An experience that will last a lifetime! Tanju is THE man to talk to and to get the best advice you can ever ask for. Thank you Seafront and thank you Istanbul for hospitality and beautiful memories we take with us from this beautiful place!

Good food with great service!! Especially the stuffed calamari!! That’s one of the best dish we had in turkey!! The manager actually asked us to go up to the terrace with a waiter to feed the seagull. We have a fun and one of a kind experience here!! Highly recommended.

Everything was very delicious. Our waiter Ilhan was especially welcoming and treated us with every request we had. He even went to the store to get us beers because they didnt have the kind we wanted. I would rate the food 10\10 and the service 11/10. Would come here again.

The food and service were very very good. I highly recommend. We shared lots of different items between the six of us. Avocado and Shepherds salads were amazing, various dips, calamari and of course the lamb with vegetables baked in a clay pot. We were staying at a hotel in the neighborhood, and this place was a 3 min walk. We had dinner, so the views from the terrace were incredible with the mosques all lit up.
