Brought my girlfriend in for her birthday. I booked with Ned, and he did an amazing job! He took his time cutting her hair, paid close attention to detail, and taught her how to properly take care of her curls. Ned is also lovely to be around and very funny, which made the experience even better. All around, it was an amazing experience. She left feeling fresh and happy! Highly recommend

I didn’t even know it was possible for my hair to look like this. Not to mention I was able to push it a week before needing a full wash again. Ned was amazing, and provided instructions every step of the way, including the types of products needed to achieve styling. I am still figuring out how to recreate the look myself which is a testament to this team really knowing how to handle curly hair. I will definitely be back! Thank you Ned!

I went to Crown Curls after learning they teach how to style curly hair. I was testing out different products and techniques by myself and didn’t feel like it was doing much for my hair. There was always some frizz and undefined pieces which bothered me. I booked with Ned and we did a thorough consult and I explained what result I was looking for (elongated, frizz free curls). Ned tailored the session to my hair and educated me through each step so I could recreate the look at home. Ned also addressed concerns which were tied into the products I was using and explained what products would work best for me. My hair after my appointment lasted 5 days and I never have seen my curls be this curly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is in the area or anyone wanting to learn how to style their natural hair.

I saw Kisa and she did an amazing job with my hair, and Ned and Steven were super helpful and kind as well. Very relaxing fun place and everyone there was very welcoming. My sister has beautiful curly locks and I figured I got the short end of the family traits with my wavy and frizzy hair. She has gone to curly hair salons for many years (she lives in the interior), and she recommended that I check out Crown Curls. I have gone to the same stylist for close to 20 years, they never truly unlocked my curls, so I took a leap and booked with Ned. NED!! You unleashed my curls and I love them! I had no idea my hair was this curly, I always thought it was wavy with the odd curl here and there. Ned was very thoughtful, he listened and understood what’s plagued me (for decades!) about my hair, explaining how a dry cut would address those concerns, explaining the different outcomes between wet and dry cutting and how he was shaping my hair. I had a wonderful experience at Crown Curls. Everyone was very friendly and lovely. I had my hair cut by Kisa and she did an amazing job. She was also very informative and helpful with teaching me how to care for my hair and what types of products to use.

Steven was incredibly knowledgeable and gave me helpful tips on preventing frizz, reducing hair fall, and maintaining my curls. For the longest time, I thought my hair was just naturally frizzy, but it turned out I was simply using the wrong products for my curl type. Steven took the time to explain what would work best for my hair, and it made a huge difference. I absolutely love my haircut it gave me a fresh new look and brought out my natural curls beautifully. I highly recommend Steven to anyone with curly hair. You are awesome Steven . Big thank you :)

I was looking for a salon and someone to help me with my loose, curly hair. I was reading reviews of many places and based on the reviews, I chose Crown Curls and booked an appointment with Ned, as so many clients loved what Ned did for them! I was greeted when I walked in and was told Ned would be with me shortly. I grabbed a seat, and only waited for a few minutes while Ned finished up with his client. He then greeted me and put me in his chair. He made feel so relaxed (which is was very nervous when I walked in) while we talked about my hair. Ned's knowledge of types of hair and damaged associated with using the wrong types of products, was amazing. I had no idea. And I had never had a dry cut before! That was also very interesting. He took such good care of me and my hair. When he finished cutting and went to wash my hair, he also showed me how damaged my hair was. And what I can do to correct that too. Ned takes his time and made sure I understood how I can help my hair recover. When he finished up, I was so happy with what he did and my hair, it brought tears to my eyes! I had never had that experience before with any stylist! He gave me a tutorial on how to wash and dry my hair with the correct products too. I was already to buy these new products, but Ned gave me several free samples to use and said to work with these first before spending more. Which is so true that most of us end up collecting a variety of products that we were told we needed, but end up sitting on the shelf at home. So, I am using the samples for now, but I've already booked a return visit with Ned to get trimmed up for a wedding in the fall! I am beyond happy with Ned and Crown Curls! If you have curly hair whether its loose curls or tight curls, color treated or not, go make an appointment with Ned at Crown Curls! All of the stylists there are curly hair specialists, and it was amazing to see so many curly haired clients when I was there too! Thank you Ned for what you did for me!

Very educational, never been happier about my hair than the day I left Crown Curls. Still having a bit of a struggle replicating the look at home but that's more on me, because they did not do anything I could not sustain

Finding a salon that specializes in curly hair is always a challenge. Because you just don't know for sure till you're in the chair. I read so many reviews from clients and also researching articles reviewing the best salons in the Vancouver area. I kept coming back to Crown Curls. And the client reviews talked about how great Ned was and how much he knew about curly hair (all kinds and types) and knew exactly what to do for them. So, I made an appointment. It was an amazing experience!!! Ned was so knowledgeable!! He looked at my hair and asked questions about the products I was using and how I was washing and drying my hair etc. He asked me what I was looking for in a style/cut which I told him I wasn't sure but I had been growing my hair out for about a year and I was coloring too. I asked him what he thought and I let him do what he suggested. This was the first time I've had a dry cut!!! It was very interesting...then he gave me a wash and talked about the products I was using that were not right for my hair. And showed me too! It all made sense. In the end, when he finished, my hair looked so healthy and curly!!! It actually brought me to tears. My hair has never looked or felt so good. I will be back to see Ned! I highly recommend him and Crown Curls if you have any type of curly hair!! My curly hair is more on the loose side, but he knew exactly what to do for me. He also suggested to stop coloring it. Way too drying for my hair, so I have stopped for now. We will see what that color looks like!! If you have any type of curly hair and need a stylist, go see Ned at Crown Curls!!! Love him!!
