The staff are VERY helpful and kind. They have a super positive attitude that was refreshing to see! The rooms are looking worn and they are very small. I also saw staff spraying bug spray which didn't make me feel great, especially since I'm allergic to it. It's a short walk to the night market.

One Vientiane Hotel

Hotel staff are very nice and the rooms are also decent. However my room didn't have windows, so felt a little congested.
Spent 4 days 3 nights here during my business trip in Vientiane. Prime location. 5 mins walk to the riverside. In the center of the city with lots of shop and restaurants. The place is older than the pictures. On the first day arrive in the room, the floor still sticky and in the toilet still have leftover amenities from the previous guest. Thin wall that you can hear people in the hallway or in their room talking.
We stayed here for one night, a twin room and double room. Rooms were pretty new. The twin room was very spacious but we found a baby cockroach. Both rooms were clean and had towels, drinking water, fridge. No hair dryer. Service was friendly but when we asked if they could help us get a tuk tuk, they asked us to do it from the road. The location was not great, there were not a lot of food options nearby, only some local eateries. You have to walk one block to the nearest cafe and a bit more to the restaurants. There is however, one convenient store nearby. Lastly, the USD exchange rate was really poor. They charged us an exorbitant 80,000kip for a USD46 room, which was a 17,000:1 rate when u get 15,000 at the money changers. Be careful when you check out. Overall, ok if you are prepared to walk 10mins for food.
The staff are friendly. They always greet me whenever we meet. Although the room is a bit small, it is clean. The hotel is located near the tourist street, so there are many restaurants, cafes, craft shops and massage shops nearby. It's great for the price.
