Some Caring Doctors & Nurses are available in new building. Administration is very much helpful. Mediclaim desk is superb. Aya didi & support staffs are helpful. But unfortunately, outside the Hospital area, there is a lot of garbage. KMC should be more careful regarding the hygiene of the entire area.
North City Hospital

A hospital experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone – North City Hospital, HUDCO, Ultadanga I don’t usually write long reviews, but after what my family went through, this one’s necessary — not just as feedback, but as a warning. My family member was admitted to North City Hospital, HUDCO branch, under CGHS, in the 4th floor general female ward. Over the years, we’ve had experiences in hospitals like Kothari, BM Birla, Woodlands, and even BR Singh (a government facility), but North City is in a league of its own — and not in a good way. Let’s start with the infrastructure. They have two completely separate buildings with no connection between them. Want a chest X-ray? Time to shift the patient to the newer building. Need a USG? That’s even better — they’ll put the patient in an ambulance and send them 2 km away to get it done. Why such a basic test isn’t available on-site is beyond me. Makes you wonder what exactly they spent their CGHS empanelment money on. Some of the security guards and staff were helpful and polite — and honestly, they felt out of place in that environment. The nurses, though? Out of 10, I’d say maybe 3 knew what they were doing and cared. The rest? No communication, no empathy, and certainly no urgency. The doctor instructed that medicines be given to the patient in the morning around 9–10 AM. When I visited around 5 PM, I found out they still hadn’t given the medicine. Why? "The medicine hasn’t arrived yet." This happened twice. And the attitude? Forget phones — they randomly ban usage without explanation, even though many reputed hospitals allow it for communication and emergencies. Asking questions or seeking help, especially at night, is treated like a crime. One of the staff even said to my family member, “Is this the time to go to the toilet?” when she asked for help to the washroom. Seriously? Then comes the experience with Dr. Biswadeep Kumar Das. If your family member is unable to speak for themselves and gives permission to a friend or well-wisher to speak with the doctor — forget it. He’ll only talk to “parents”, even if they’re too nervous or confused to understand. Zero flexibility, zero compassion. The patient had four saline channels — both hands. At one point, she asked for help eating because her hands were tied up. They refused. One of the saline setups was even done wrong, and it was a male technician — not the nurse — who caught it. Safety? Yeah, right. Oh, and during all of this? Loud Bhojpuri music videos being played by the staff right next to female patients' beds. I’m not joking. Forget peace or privacy, you get an audio-visual treat you never asked for. Now here’s the real kicker — discharge process. Every hospital we’ve been to, private or government, hands over the patient’s reports and explains everything during discharge. But not North City. They told us, “You’ll have to collect the reports from the CGHS office after 10 days.” WHAT? It’s almost like if someone had a baby here, they’d say, “Come back in 10 days to CGHS and collect your newborn.” And even then, when we called the hospital later, the management had no clue. Finally, after multiple follow-ups, they casually said, “Yes, reports have arrived. You can come and get them.” Honestly, this place feels like a state-run hospital wearing a private hospital’s costume. They might charge more, but the experience is pure negligence — from mismanagement to apathy, to a complete lack of coordination. Verdict: avoid this hospital unless you have absolutely no other choice. That 3.6 rating on Google is generous. This place doesn’t just fall short — it stumbles, collapses, and then blames the patient for it.
Horrible behaviour of the OPD telecommunication executives. I called to make sure I had my appointment scheduled for the next day. The OPD receptionist who received the call and the one she transferred my call to were both terribly ill-mannered. They couldn't even speak formally. Started shouting mid-sentence. I don't understand how this place runs with such rude executives.
Just now I called up your hospital in ultadanga enquiry was about Esophageal manometry but a male person who received my phone cal was unable to provide me the correct information and put my call on hold. Such an irresponsible behaviour from your employee . He doesn't even know that the procedure is related to Gastro.

He said whenever we will visit he will be present we went there on sunday morning they took my father in and started doing some treatments ny father was not responding to the treatments so they strted giving him high dose antibiotics which my father was not able to handle and due to cardiac arrest i lost my father . And here the doctor who saud he will be present as soon as we will be the dr was not present and also he was not in the hospital until 4 pm and until then my father got 2 heart attack in the same day due to the treatments they were providing but still the dr was not there and after he came he gave some hard antibiotics which my father was not able to handle. And even after his death they were not allowing us to see him not even my mother was allowed and they took the whole day to do the papaerwork my dad died on sunday 9 pm but they handed over my father to us on monday 6 pm and that is the behaviour they were showing to us they even dont care about the patient they just care about the money.
