I've been happy first two times ordering from them, but third time I ordered a basil chicken for 61 riyals and it was barely a portion for one I complained immediately and they said it was their standard portion size, for 61 riyal! You could order a steak for 30riyal more with all the trimmings! I have lived in China for 2.5 years and no way would it ever cost near that nor the ingredients which are easily available here to make it. Extremely disappointed.
Overall it’s a good place, I tried the Mongolian beef, the lava rock shrimps, the soy duck Gua Bao.. the lava rock shrimps is one the best ever! but the other 2 dishes are average..
This was the second time i visited the restaurant. The first time it was really good. This time, I was disappointed. Ordered 4 dishes. The ingredients were of good quality. Food were tasty. However, they failed the basic. Most of the dishes were just warm. Chinese food is supposed to be served hot. Stir-fried vegetables in oyster source was not cooked well, and most green vegetables were still raw and cold. I recommend Kungpao chicken. It was tasty, but the dish was again not served hot. It seemed the chef only mixed ingredients with some prepared sources. Vegetables were raw.
Unfortunately this restaurant has nothing to do with the Chinese food(saying this as the experienced/knowledgeable Chinese food lover). Adding to the dishes garlic, ginger and soy sauce is not making the flood Chinese. Xia long bao have VERY thick skin. Beef ribs have absolutely nothing to do with Asian food. Basil chicken had lots of garlic and scallions, but no basil. Spicy Eggplant was not spicy at all. The matcha ice cream was not bad. It was not sweet. The view is good, especially if you come in the evening to enjoy the fountain show. In general food tastes ok, but if you are craving for real Chinese food, this is not the restaurant to go to.
Visited- April 20, 2023 We enjoyed the food. Xiao long bao and buns were good. Fresh and good Chinese food. Not oily. Table service was efficient and fast. Good customer service. Will visit again.
