Mangalore Thali Coastal Family Restaurant

We got here for lunch and had an absolutely amazing experience. After reading a bunch of mixed reviews but seeing their Mangalorean food menu, we had to check it out. We first ordered their goli soda- strawberry and blueberry, so nostalgic and delicious. For main course we got- kori roti with chicken (4/5) delicious and hearty portions, neer dosa with fish curry (YUM) 4.5/5, the curry comes without any fish but I'll still suggest trying this, it's delicious, squid ghee roast (5/5), so delicious, perfectly cooked squid, great portion size, must try! The star of the day was the crab sukka, such a delicious and flavourful base with tenderly cooked crab, 5/5!!! Must try! We also got their fish thali, every component was freshly prepared and delicious. I was honestly blown away but the quality of the food and how great it was. We also got their parotta and prawns sukka packed. All of this cost us less than 1300 which is extremely pocket friendly. 4 wheeler Parking can be found in the bylanes around the restaurant easily! Awesome awesome food! Had fish thali, prawns ghee roast and neer dosa. All tasted very good and the prices were reasonable too. Staffs were nice.

I'm surprised to see this place not popping up in the first list of suggestions. One of most authentic mangalore cuisine restaurant I have visited in a while. Amazing taste, great food (seafood in particular), light on pocket, quick service and not to forget the sweet behaviour of the staff. We tried neer dosa, prawns ghee roast, pompret fry, bangda pulimunchi and rice. Everything we ordered tasted great, definitely visiting this place again. 😍

I have been there frequently. I have tried meals ( chicken and egg). Fish fry is good. Thali is typically 170 inr with ample amount of quantities. I have no clue about other dishes. But meals are highly recommended there. Taste are purely costal. I enjoy going there for a change. Average cost 400 bucks including GST. One star is less because there is nothing unique to try. Same like other restaurants. Thanks
