Major Auto Repair (Palm Coast, Florida)

STOP!!! If you read one review about here make it this one! I live in Columbus, Ohio and my Dad lives in Palm Coast. Recently he has been in hospital and and his girlfriend was using their truck to get back and forth from the hospital. When it rain it pours and their truck went out in the process. Without a truck his girlfriend would not be able to visit him in the ICU and she wouldn't be able to report back to me 900 some miles away. I contacted this shop and got to talk to John and from the very start he did absolutely everything he could to help this difficult time. He helped her by fixing the truck quickly and with the absolute minimum down time. Even offered a ride if time allowed. He found the issue and despite it being a special order part managed to get it quickly and get it put onto the truck just as fast. Through out the process he communicated everything that happened and shared videos with me to help show what was going on. I'm a skeptical person by nature but with such a great distance between me and the broken truck I had to place my trust in someone I didn't know and without ever meeting them. I had no other option. John did not disappoint at all! He rose to the challenge and absolutely made a difference. If you need repair work and you are in this area please consider this shop for that repair. I know for a fact that you will be treated fairly and by someone who cares. Once again, thank you for your help. It is appreciated more than you know.

An unbelievable mechanic and great staff. My 2006 Land Rover with 250,000 miles is my pride and only ride. John has yet again worked miracles to ensure I keep driving her. His expertise, dedication and honesty in trying to get you reliably rolling and for a good understanding of what you need to spend versus what other mechanics want you to spend, is fundamental to why I will always support his operation. My wife and I were running errands with our children and the check engine light came on.So I called Major Auto Repair and spoke to John about what was going on so he told us to come on by and they would take a look and it for us. When we got there he invited us and the kids into the office and put on cartoons to entertain the kids we thought that was so nice of him. Within minutes John and his team had diagnosed the problem and quoted us at a very fair price for parts and labor.John ordered the parts and said they would have the vehicle fixed the next day.I was going to call a taxi but John was kind enough to give us a ride home which was just above and beyond we definitely appreciate that a lot.As promised John called us the next day and said the vehicle was repaired and that we could come pick it up. We picked it up and it has been a few days and the vehicle is running better than ever.If I could give them more than a five star review I would.I highly recommend Major Auto Repair they will be who we call when we need maintenance and repairs going forward. John and his team are awesome they guarantee their work and are the most honest and most knowledgeable mechanics I have ever met. They also took the time to explain everything to me so I understood exactly what they were going to do to repair the vehicle.It was an excellent experience. Nothing but grateful for John, he was able to get the car in the morning to fix the radiator and a/c condenser after getting taken out just a few hours before on early morning by a blown out 18-wheeler tire debris on i-95 southbound and had it ready the same day just before afternoon rush hour to make it back home to Miami. Can't recommend him and his shop enough, I would probably still be stranded in Palm Coast if it wasn't for him. Thank you so much.

My truck broke down on 95. I was headed to Orlando from Jacksonville. My wheel bearing broke on driver side. Broke the brake caliper and bearing was destroyed. I didn't know any shops. I just Google nearest mechanic. John was the third on list. He answered immediately and said yes I can fix. They ordered parts and had me back on the road in no time. I swear the work was excellent!!!! No corners cut at all. Quality work that didn't hurt my pockets. Forever grateful to John and his staf.
