Be careful this place here kicks you out for their employees mistakes. Priscilla and Maritza (Manager), you're terrible.
They are racist towards local Latinos. They forget that they are just another gentrified over glamorous poor excuse of a restaurant in a historically majority Mexican community. The way they treat the locals is beyond repugnant. The owners and workers are transplants who think they can talk down on anyone.
Service here is terrible. The staff is incredibly rude and racist. Management is also rude and condones the horrible behavior of their employees. Food was mid, not worth the terrible service.
We don't support this place anymore it's bad enough they gentrified this whole city now they are trying to get rid of us one by one. Stop supporting business like this that don't care about our people or any people at all. Without us they are nothing let's support small businesses because the rich keep getting richer and the poor getting poorer. The food sucks you really want a good burger go to Patras in eagle rock. Waiters are rude as hell here are here once and prices are crazy for food that barely has any seasoning!!!! 2 middle fingers up
This establishment blames their customers for the incompetence of their own staff. In what world is it a consumers fault for receiving the wrong item, something your staff gave them. The way the situation was handled was even more alarming, this is a business. Someone needs to keep their emotions in check. Also, that salad was an abomination, upset over giving out scraps.
The service was horrible. There are so many mom and pop shops around the area. Take your money to one of those instead of this restaurant. You're not going to be satisfied with the food and you'll leave angry/disrespected due to their service.
Rude staff is enough for me to walk out and never return. Everyone always said they have rude staff, found out first hand it was true. Manager can suck a fat one too.
The service here is horrible, been a loyal customer for years and was screamed at by kitchen staff and kicked out by the manager over a salad. I was accused of *** up and taking an extra salad (the salad was in my to-go bag, along with our "correct order"), no one took their salad. Priscilla was screaming, cursing hysterically at us, as if it was our fault the salad ended up in our bag. I explained I didn't know and asked why was I being yelled at over a salad. She then stormed off screaming and called the manager over, I honestly thought I was getting an apology but was quite the opposite. She said we had to leave immediately for disrespecting her staff, completely absurd because we were just trying to eat after a long day of work.
If you want to wait one hour for a burger then this is the spot for you. Even at the Togo window you're going to have to wait that long. I got a burger and fries no drink at the Togo window costed $25. Very pricy for a burger that's not even good tbh. Also idk how their system is but people after me was getting their order before me and their excuse was depending on order size. I got a burger just like everyone else what do you mean order size lol. It also Gave me a big stomach ache and had to use the restroom like 5 times that same night. Never will go again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm also a smash burger connoisseur and this was a solid 1/10
I've been to Lowboy in Los Angeles quite a few times now with both friends and family, and it's become one of those places I can always count on for a great meal and a good time. The food is consistently delicious. One of my absolute favorites is their Caesar salad. It might sound simple, but they do it so well. It's always fresh, crisp, flavorful, and one of the best Caesar salads I've had. Everything else I've ordered has been just as good. Their burgers are cooked perfectly, the fries are crispy and addicting, and the menu is full of elevated comfort food that's hard to go wrong with. The drinks are also excellent and pair perfectly with the food. The service has always been friendly, attentive, and efficient. Even when they're busy, the staff does a great job making sure everyone feels taken care of, and the food always comes out in a timely manner. The ambiance is one of my favorite things about Lowboy. It has a relaxed neighborhood feel with a fun, lively atmosphere that's perfect for meeting up with friends or bringing family. It's casual, welcoming, and somewhere you actually want to hang out for a while. Overall, Lowboy continues to be one of my favorite spots in Los Angeles. Great food, great service, and an awesome atmosphere keep me coming back, and I'll definitely continue recommending it to others.
Bahar and jimmy are incredible! service was top tier, checked in on us multiple times throughout the day even as the crowd started to flow in! Food was amazing per usual and bonus points for playing the world cup game ( with sound)! we love lowboy!
Amazing staff. Amazing decor. Great drinks and food. What doesn't this place have?!! Their burger is one of the best in town. I recommend swinging in at happy hour for the "LB Triple", Lowburger, frie and any draft beer for $16! I also purchase the upgrade for $5 extra to get the shot of bourbon. An excellent way to start an evening!
Honestly went to Lowboys because i was getting a lot of recommendations but it turned out to be Okay... Not the best but not the worst. I got a burger and some fries with barbecue but it was just dry. Got my food within 15 minutes just waiting at the pick up.
Great burgers, great fries, great drinks, and great vibes. I really enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate that it's a casual place to go with no reservation needed and a seat yourself style.
I had been recommended this place by multiple friends and finally came on a Saturday evening. Service was very friendly and pretty attentive even though it was a busy night. I can agree with a review I saw on here that the bun is a little small for the burger but if I'm being fr it didn't really matter. The burger was so delicious and fresh my bf ordered another one after he finished his LOL. I enjoyed the Mexican lager they had on tap and I would definitely go here again! Fries were crunchy and tasted sooo good! I sat outside but I did love how moody and intimate the inside looked with the bar and then a good selection of seating!
We had just left Dodgers stadium on a Saturday night and my brother was looking for burgers instead of burritos from a taco truck. I found this place nearby but the car and foot traffic were ridiculous. We entered the packed bar and low and behold two stool seats were available. We passed on the drinks and ordered two smash burgers and their version of animal style fries. The burgers are small but the one order of fries was more than enough to share, both were delicious. The service was great from the staff and way better than most bars. We didn't realize there was a sidewalk window you can order just food, oh well next time.
I came in on St. Patrick's Day around 5 PM and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The bartender was short with us, but what really stood out was how he treated two non-white guests who sat at the bar. Despite there being multiple open seats, he abruptly told them to sit at a table and that a server would assist them. They waited for several minutes without anyone coming over, and when they returned to the bar to order, he rolled his eyes, took their order reluctantly, and tossed their card back at them. It was uncomfortable to witness and honestly felt unacceptable. Additionally, he seemed much more engaged when serving guests he knew, even taking multiple shots with them, maybe he was too drunk to give good service? On top of that, my own order was entered incorrectly despite a simple dietary request, and he appeared irritated when the mistake was brought up. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and poorly handled. This kind of service reflects a need for better training or he should find another career.
I don't know what the fuck everybody's talking about, but this is not an amazing burger. I tried the lowboy Smashburger. First of all, where do you get off putting red bell peppers in a fucking cheeseburger??? This is not kitchen nightmares. Also, why is your thousand island sauce smoky??? Very mid burger. I also had the displeasure of coming here on a date and had the worst chicken wings I've ever had in my entire life. On the other hand, my friend came here on Molly and she had a relatively nice time. So eat at your own risk. By the way, we both got ghosted by the men we came here with.
Late night snack spot when not much else was open. We hunted we found we devoured. It was a solid smash burger BUT they have to provide a bigger bun. By the end of the burger there's little bun and a whole lot of burger you still have to deal with. The flavor was fine a tad on the salty side but likely from the onions. The fries were perfect. We got the order through a window so I'm not actually sure about much else. We didn't get anything to drink and we ate on a little table on the street. If I needed food and was there would I be upset no. But not sure when I'll be back around to try again. If there were half stars it would be 3.5 on my first try.
