I recently went in for two small cavities and they explained everything so clearly. I felt like I understood my treatment plan completely. They are so patient and understanding, even when I was nervous about the dental procedure. I also barely felt a thing during the filling, and the result looks fantastic! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist

First, the office staff are friendly and caring! Paying attention to the patient needs is important to them. Second Dr. McElvain is beyond thorough and brings excellent bedside manner to his practice, he is skilled at giving the patient options and help pick the best course for treatments. He executes treatments skillfully and in timely manner! Highly recommended, practice that has great people and highly qualified dentists is rear!

Unfortunately, the bond material did not cover the portion of each of my canine teeth. Food debris is still being caught between the canine tooth and the bridged tooth.

I’ve been to so many dentists and always had a poor experience. Finally a friend recommended Lone Star Dental! I had my first appointment and couldn’t be happier with them. Quality service and care, and this is the first time I’ve left a dentist not feeling belittled or embarrassed about my teeth. They treated me like family and I was comfortable talking to them about what was going on with my teeth. I HIGHLY recommend them!

I have been coming here a little over a year now and love this office! I used to live close by, but now drive 16 miles for my appointments. I have never had a better experience at a Dental Office before. Dr Justin McElvain is so nice and great at explaining everything. He answers all my questions and puts my mind at ease for any fears I may have. I enjoy seeing Cara for my cleanings and no longer get anxiety when I come for those appointments. I have always had pleasant experiences and interactions with everyone here from the front desk, dental hygienist, assistances and Doctors.

Update: our family still LOVES Loan Star Family Dental and I just wanted to take a minute and give a shout out to Colleen. She is truly a blessing to this office and to our family! She always does her best to accommodate our schedules and always with the most kindest, and helpful mannerism. We’ve lived in Allen for 26 years and just started going to Loan Star Family Dental a couple years ago. The front desk employees are nothing but kind and welcoming. Dr McElvain is awesome. He doesn’t try to push unnecessary treatments just for an extra $$ because there are a lot of dentists out there that do. I LOVE their dental hygienist Cara. She gives the best cleanings ever! She’s very thorough and gentle. She is amazing with my kids. I highly recommend her.

I had a negative experience with the office manager, who was curt, unprofessional, and interrupted me while I was speaking multiple times. It's a shame, b/c everyone besides Colleen was pleasant. Though we live across the street from this office, we've decided to drive farther and change dentists just to avoid interacting with Colleen. So, thank you Colleen. This wonderful office has lost 3 patients b/c of you and your unprofessionalism.

Our family just started with this office and we love it already. The hygienists are so kind and gentle during cleaning. By far, the best I've had. We are so glad our primary care doctor's office recommended them to us!! Highly recommend Dr. McElvain and his staff.
