Kuld Creamery - Fremantle

Even I will cross halfway across Fremantle to go here, knowing that my wife will step on my head, to get in the door first! There is no honour among thieves! I grew up with sugar in my veins, but in my older age, I have mellowed. I don't see the big deal with dessert. Period. But when you have a lovely wife that is a guru in all things sweet, you kind of go with the flow. Oh...and I forgot my kids...they all have it in their genes too! Sincerely, this it the best ice cream fix south of the river, even though I remain open to challenges. This is a destination buy, not a chance encounter! Kuld Creamery deserves a visit for its constant morphing of flavours. I'm probably more adventurous that most, leaping at the Toasted Coconut Chocolate Chip, incredibly proud of my eclectic uber-cool choice, until I tasted my son's Double Fudge Brownie. Don't get me wrong, I loved my choice. I just so wanted to steal his too. They do offer a great sliver of flavours, including Vegan Chocolate and Vegan Jamington (sounds like congealed vegetable puss!). But I do love this place. Every time I come here, my wife smiles.

Tiny little store, so not much space to sit or queue inside, but the ice cream is delicious. Interesting flavours that really taste true to the name. Yum!

A tier, pretty solid ice cream. Wayyyy too pricey. You could get same taste ratio if you got something from the groceries. But nice either way for the vibes. Got the roo cream, had chocolate fudge with peanut butter cubes in it.

Was excited for this crumble+ice cream joint but unfortunately it fell a lil short. We ordered the apple crumble with custard and ice cream. It was severely lacking apples in the crumble and it was a bit too sour for my liking. I thought the custard would have help with the tanginess but the custard was quite bland. Ice cream was also average. Great concept but it wasn’t a must to do for me.

Sophia was an absolute gem. I was so impressed with how amazingly she dealt with the screaming and banging from the rude person living in the hostel above the dining area.

Very disappointed with the Crumble dessert. So expensive - we paid $65 for 3 and none of us wanted to finish it because there wasn’t enough custard or icecream (which you had to pay extra for!) to the amount of crumble. Should have just stuck with Yo Chi 😫

The best ice cream I've ever had in Australia. I tried the toasted coconut and the gingerbread caramel, both were awesome! Also, such a charming place!
