My experience with Lara was honestly amazing. From the moment I sat in the chair I knew I was in good hands. So kind and nice and absolutely nailed my want for a big change with a massive cut and colour. I’ve had so many compliments!!

I had my hair done by Charlee last night and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result! I had called earlier in the day for a last minute appointment after a really horrible experience with another hairdresser, and my hair was in pretty rough shape. The entire team right from the start was absolutely amazing and genuinely cared about the state of my hair and not damaging it any further. They stayed in communication with me throughout the day asked questions looked at photos and came up with a game plan before hand to fix what had happened. Not only did Charlee do an amazing job with my hair, but she was also so lovely to chat to. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. Thank you so much, Charlee, for restoring my confidence in my hair and a huge thank you to the team for being so lovely and helpful right from the start. I’ll definitely be back and couldn’t recommend Charlee or the team enough.

Absolutely love my hair extensions! Alysha did an amazing job matching and blending them perfectly—they look so natural. She was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience so easy. Can not recommend Jamie enough ! I have been looking for a hairdresser in Melbourne for months and found Jamie on Instagram. Her work is impeccable and walked me through every step of my hair transformation. Will definitely be coming back.

I had my hair done with Charlee yesterday which she is going to go very very far with her hairdressing. With her only being a third year she is very talented and has a natural art, everyone made you feel very welcomed also had lovely conversations with everyone. I also love how all the seniors actually took in the time to help the emerging stylist with there work and educating them, which I loved as an apprentice myself it was very nice to see there staff being treated well.

Karina and Lara were both so lovely and professional. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel so comfortable. Karina absolutely nailed my colour. It was exactly what I asked for, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Lara did such an amazing job with my cut and blow wave. She kept the length while giving me beautiful face-framing layers that suit me perfectly. It was exactly what I wanted. I left feeling so confident and in love with my hair. I honestly couldn’t recommend these girls enough and I’ll definitely be back. If you’re thinking about booking in, do it. You won’t be disappointed!

I chose your salon based on your Instagram profile, trusting your team to deliver a hair transformation. Instead, I received substandard technical work over three separate visits, detailed below: ​Appointment 1: The salon ran 1.5 hours late. The full head of foils and toner I received were completely uneven and looked nothing like the inspiration photos I provided (which staff assured me were achievable). ​Appointment 2: This visit was for a color correction and extension installation. The extensions were installed incorrectly, causing painful pulling on my scalp, and the haircut was completely uneven. (Note: Due to a migraine, I had to reschedule the original slot for this, costing me a $100 cancellation fee—meaning I effectively lost the $100 promo discount I was promised). ​Appointment 3: I returned a third time to have the extensions reinstalled ahead of two upcoming surgeries. I was promised this would be a supervised appointment, but the supervising stylist was "double-booked," leaving me with the exact same poor, painful installation results. Edges not sewn correctly again, lifting and beads poking through. ​To make matters worse, the salon owner was present during my third visit and completely ignored me, which I found incredibly unprofessional. ​I traveled 1.5 hours each way for these appointments—totaling 9 hours of travel time and significant petrol costs—only to end up having to completely remove the extensions. I am now out $1,100 with absolutely nothing to show for it except a hair color I didn't want and scalp discomfort. ​Given that the salon completely failed to deliver the service I paid for, I would've expected a prompt response regarding a full or significant reimbursement.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. My hair is now a mix of black sections, darker blonde sections, lighter blonde sections, and nothing is blended properly. The colour is patchy and uneven and looks nothing like what I asked for. I paid around $500 for this service and was only offered a partial refund of $220. I now have to spend another $300–$400 with a different hairdresser to fix the problem that this salon created. The salon refuses to provide a full refund and instead wants me to come back so they can fix it themselves. Unfortunately, I no longer have any trust in them touching my hair again. The first time I left the salon with an almost white, over-processed colour. I returned to have it corrected, but the result is still terrible. What also concerned me was that around five different people worked on my hair during the appointment, which made the entire process feel unorganised and inconsistent. I am now left paying even more money to correct a mistake that should never have happened in the first place. I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. I understand that a full refund may not be part of your policy, but I don’t think it’s fair that a client is left with hair they are genuinely unhappy with after paying for a professional service. Policies should not outweigh the quality of the work provided. I am now being forced to spend another $300–$400 to have my hair corrected by another hairdresser. While the colour can be fixed, my hair will have to go through even more processing and bleaching, which will cause additional damage and leave it even more compromised. I don’t think it’s reasonable that I have to pay even more money and risk further damage to correct a problem that I did not create.

From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt welcome. I received excellent service, including a variety of drinks to choose from. The salon's magazine was very interesting, entertaining, and full of useful information. Elise was very friendly and caring. Then, my stylist, Jamie, who cut and styled my hair exactly as I had envisioned, was fantastic. I was very pleased with the result. The salon has a beautiful design, which makes every client feel like they are receiving a first-class hairdressing service. And to top it all off, I received a lovely welcome gift as a thank you for choosing Koko Hair and Co as my salon. A very nice touch.

Had a full head of foils by emerging stylist Lara (with overseeing support from Jamie). The colour turned out amazing, you can tell they really want to achieve your vision and talk through the consult thoroughly to get you there, whilst trying to maintain the integrity of your hair. I got an awesome cut by Taylor at the end too. I’ve been here a few times now with different stylists and the hair always turns out amazing, a credit to them and their training systems too, as you can really see the support the senior stylists lend to the emerging stylists. All the girls are so down to earth and lovely too!
