My first time here, and honestly it was a horrible experience. The young blonde behind the counter was just rude to us. I never write reviews like this but I felt I needed to. Her attitude made us never want to come back again.
Every year I hunt for pumpkin bagels and cream cheese. Went last week and omg the pumpkin cream cheese is amazing!! Place was tidy and there was a good menu to choose from. The two women who helped me(blonde who took my order and dark haired who made the delicious bagels) were nice and funny. I'm coming back for more pumpkin bagels. Hands down best I've found in the area. Good food, good people!
I just came to grab quick breakfast with my brother today at 12:02pm. Lady at the register with blonde hair , light skin took my order. She said what would you like I said can I please have a western omelette and small coffee with skim milk. She says “we don’t have skim milk whatever we have back there is all we have” with a really bad attitude. I said ok no problem. I felt her nasty attitude since she saw us. Then my brother was next he said can I have a chicken wrap with juice she replies “what juice? what do you mean” he asks do you have any natural juices” she says no again everything you see back there is what we have.” Again with bad attitude. We noticed her smiling at all the customers in front of us except us. I politely told her I don’t like the way I’m being treated right now I don’t appreciate the way you are talking to us. She sarcastically laughs and says what do you want me to tell you I’m sorry ok I’m sorry. I said you are being very sarcastic. She says you are not welcome here you can leave. She then calls a manager (guy) and he proceeds to finish my order. (She didn’t write anything down) so we have to repeat the order. I tell him what just happened she says “you are still going on” I said miss the way we were treated was not nice. Manager says shut up you guys. Once order is ready my brother goes to get the food she tells him “your sister is not welcome to this place ever again and you either”. This was a very terrible experience. I would never come back to this place. Not a very nice way of treating customers to someone who just came to grab something to eat.
Got a classic Taylor ham egg and cheese, spk on a whole wheat everything bagel and an iced coffee. $9.29. was surprised there was only 2 thin slices of Taylor ham and maybe a quick squirt of ketchup. It was simply lacking the tang of this iconic Jersey breakfast. Bagel itself was good though.
Have been a customers for many years and this bagel store never disappoints. While other businesses come and go in town, Kinnelon Bagel is here to stay - and for a good reason! Tried other bagel stores in town, but no one can match the quality of their bagels. Fluffy hand rolled bagels with no aftertaste. Service is super friendly and fast, store is very neat and clean! Menu items are reasonably priced and they carry a big selection of grab and go items. A+++
