Great service and beautiful cakes

Katie Cakes is such a cute place. It has a cozy atmosphere and the desserts are DELISH! Anything I have ever bought has been fresh and heavenly!

Katie Cakes is a small but cute little bakery. The ambiance is cozy and the moment I walked in it smelled like garlic and sourdough. My kids walked in saying “mmm…” I did order a red velvet bday cake (haven’t picked up yet), the ladies up front were kind and helpful. I ended up getting 2 cheesecake bars and a slice of pina colada cake. It all tasted wonderful and not overly sweet. I’m definitely going back!

Katie Cakes is an enchanting bakery with exceptional cheesecakes, cakes, bars, bites and sourdough. We've tried it all and it is so delicious! The Wedding Cakes are stunning! I love following on FB and Insta to see the amazing creations and designs coming out of this lovely bakery in historic Waxahachie! We're so grateful that you are here. Overall, highly disappointed. I would like to start out saying that the cheesecake we tried was absolutely fantastic. But after multiple attempts at trying to order a vintage heart cake, we finally got one ordered and it was visually so beautiful! But after spending a pretty penny on it and struggling to even get it ordered, I just kinda expected the cake to also have flavor/taste halfway decent too. This had to have been the WORST tasting cake that a group of 5 people who all agree, have ever had (but again, it was visually stunning). The cake was supposed to be a strawberry lemon flavor but it didn’t even have a hint of any sort of flavor. The crumb was so dry and dense it wasn’t even worth eating. Not sweet, not tangy, not fruity. Just a foam tasting, pretty photo prop. Probably would have been better off getting one from Walmart. We did follow the instructions on the care card and waited until the cake got to room temperature so I don’t think it was due to a user error

What a lovely small business! The space is beautiful, the cakes were all delicious, and on our way out we noticed that this is a place to buy sourdough bread loaves?! Amazing. We loved our time here and will be back for more yummy treats!

Beautiful aesthetic, and the baked items were flavorful, fresh, and outstanding! The young lady who helped get our items was courteous, and had great customer service skills. The pistachio cake is addicting. The cake was moist, while the icing was smooth and buttery. 🤌🏼 So good! They have also provided games to play while you snack

Katie Cakes is absolutely amazing! We have purchased several items from them, and are huge fans of their cheesecake squares and different flavors of sourdough. The Oreo cheesecake we ordered for my husband’s birthday was so delicious. The shop itself is so cute, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. This is a must-visit if you are looking for some good desserts and bread in the Waxahachie area! Everything we have tried has been amazing.
