Kappou Ishida

As a big fan of Japanese Omakase, I have been here more than 3 times and I absolutely love what I got in Kappou. It’s not only the amazing food but also the interesting conversation with Head Chef Taka. He made me feel like I was visiting old friend and living in Japanese culture by lively stories. He made my dining time better than I had anticipated. Trust me, the price is totally worthy for what your experience. A sure 5 star dining spot, I definitely would come back again in my next trip in Hanoi. You did great job!

Perhaps Hanoi's best kept secret. In my years of living here, this is my favourite dining spot that has maintained high food and service quality. If you enjoy food here, do also try Ishida-san's teppanyaki restaurant Nuboko, about 8km away!

Where you can learn what's the Japanese food and culture is. All the dish has a proper explanation by a staff or chef. You won't be disappointed by their quality of service if you're interested in Japanese culture/food.

Definitely joyful dinner at the omakase restaurant in Ha Noi. It was impressed with the main chef Mr Ishida’s passion and all the staffs kindness.

Chef ishida's amazing cuisine is a must-go, whether you are living in Hanoi or just a visitor. Omakase is traditional here...with a good mix of seasonal highlights and evergreen dishes. Ishida san's Shizuoka roots comes through as he tell you the story of how he grates the wasabi from his hometown, before he shares the story behind the dessert he serves. This wasn't just a meal, it was a visit to japan through the chef's eyes, heart, and hands.
