Book in for a wash/blow dry and style and was told $110. Went in, showed a reference image and I thought all was good. The hair turned out cute, not what I wanted originally but Emme was good to work around what suited me. Proceeded to payment and was charged $158...and when I asked I was told this was a cheaper option than what she could have charged me because it was an 'upstyle' she put half my hair in a clawclip. Felt a little blindsided. I was super excited to do some self care and $110 was a nice quote, I would have never spent $158 on what was done.

Hi Cierra, We’re sorry the final price came as a surprise after you were quoted $110 over the phone based on the service originally described, a wash, blow-dry and simple section pulled back. Once you arrived and shared your inspiration image, the styling became more detailed and required additional time and adjustments. Where we absolutely take your feedback on board is that the change in service and pricing should have been communicated more clearly before proceeding. First time visiting this salon and definitely won’t be my last. Zanya did an incredible job. Her head massage when washing my hair was amazing! She’s amazing and I’d definitely request her again. Thanks Zanya for an awesome first time experience. Look forward to booking again with you.

Emmi was absolutely amazing the first time seeing her as a new client, and honestly, she went above and beyond and had to correct something she wasn’t quite happy with because she wanted it to be perfect. I can say the place is so much more peaceful than many other salons, and Emmi has got herself a permanent client now couldn’t be happier with my first time experience.

I moved to Mackay 12 months ago and have been hairdresser hopping ever since and not been satisfied with any I booked in at Intuition hair with Chelsea there apprentice she was absolutely amazing from start to finish very professional and done an amazing job Ive pre booked with her until November intuition hair should be very proud of the professional knowledgeable apprentice they have 😊🙏

First time at the salon all the ladies were friendly, the salon has a relaxing positive vibe. I had over an inch of regrowth my scalp bleach was seamless, fresh and clean 😊 I also purchased some hair care products. Thanks Lilli!!

Before pic, inspiration pic, results. I had a wonderful experience at Intuition The Art of Hair. I came in wanting a cool-toned red with a violet base and brought inspiration photos, knowing my hair wouldn't match them exactly in one appointment due to the different colours already in my hair. My stylist explained everything thoroughly before we started, including what was realistically achievable, the process involved, and provided a quote upfront. She was honest, professional and made sure I understood how the existing blonde and darker sections of my hair would affect the final result. I'm really happy with how my hair turned out. She worked hard to achieve the colour I was aiming for and was incredibly understanding throughout the appointment. She even offered for me to come back and adjust the lighter section so we can continue working towards my goal colour. I appreciated the honesty, communication and care taken throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!
