I have been seeing Dr. Mumford for almost 5 years and I would not go anywhere. The office staff is very helpful!

I went in looking for an eye dr closer to me. They were fine. The quality of their lenses is not good. I payed about 1k after insurance for my glasses. The lenses were off when I got the glasses, which they did order new ones for me. Second try is just as bad. The lenses are very plasticity and I can't see anything. I will not go back to this eye dr.

Everything from start to finish, was so great! My son (25yrs) discovered this amazing eye clinic when he was checking Google for reputable places to use near his house. The staff inside is SO KIND and helpful, even before I got there (helped me with precheck via texts)! The doctors were extremely thorough and answered all of our questions, regarding issues with my son's eyes. The eye techs beforehand were very quick and efficient, as well! Lastly, when we went to pick out glasses, the ophthalmologists were very patient, and even honest enough to suggest other options for my son, when he wasn't sure about a frame. Moreover, we were so impressed with IEC, that my 22yr old daughter switched to the doctors here from her previous eye doctor in Matthews! Not only that, but my 10yr old daughter was also seen by them, and felt so completely at ease, that she wasn't even afraid to pick out glasses for herself, after her very first eye check up here! Innovative Eye Care is truly impressive, all around, and I highly recommend them! N Peterson

Disgusting customer service. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. Zero human skills. We were snowed in at the mountains in the morning, and still made it to our 11:00 appointment. We were ONE minute after the 10 minute late policy (who has a TEN minute policy btw) and they turned us away. Mind you, there wasn't a single person waiting to been seen. And she said it with a smile- like a possessed robot.

At first glance, Innovative Eye Care seems like a beautiful place to get glasses but you'd be only half right. I had an eye exam for contact lenses there today and was really impressed after being warmly welcomed at reception. First, the practice was referred to me by my ophthalmologist at CEENTA (because CEENTA no longer does contact lens exams). Next, everyone with whom I interacted was friendly yet professional. Next, it was CLEAN! I felt like I could have eaten off the floor; for a medical practice that should be a given but it's not, so I don't want to take this for granted. Also, information they need prior to the appointment is easy to complete online before coming in, so I got there 10 minutes before my appointment and had time for coffee and a quick game on my phone. I feel like my eye exam was comprehensive and Dr. Krisa and Optemetric Tech Ania were very patient and professional. Last, as a teacher I have to look at pricing and I felt that it was very fair. Highly recommend for customer service, medical service and pricing.

I've had my eyes examined here several times and always had a good experience. They have modern equipment, the practitioners were knowledgeable and polite, and the facility is clean. However, my last experience made me leave this practice and find another. Several years ago, before going to this practice, I had an inflammation in my eye called episcleritis. It is a relatively minor condition that resolves on its own in time, but there are prescription eyedrops that can help with discomfort in the meantime. (It can be quite uncomfortable without them.) Knowing what it felt like when I've had it before, one day when I had a similar feeling in my eye I suspected that I again was having a bout of episcleritis. I called innovative eyecare to try to get in for an appointment. I got their voicemail. It was around 1pm on a Friday and they were supposed to be open, but it was MLK day weekend so they had apparently closed early that day ahead of the long weekend. No problem. Their voicemail message had instructions about what to do if this was an emergency. I did that. No call back. I called again on Saturday to leave an emergency message again. Both times I explained what I suspected was happening and that I was wondering if it was possible to call in a prescription for the eye drops. No call back on Saturday either. No call back on Sunday or on MLK day. I spent much of the weekend in quite a bit of discomfort but luckily by Monday evening the discomfort had started to resolve. On Tuesday morning I finally get a call from innovative. I was pissed at this point so didn't even bother to answer, but the voicemail they left was someone saying that they had received my voicemail and were just giving me a call back. No mention of the fact that I had left two emergency messages, no apology, nothing. I never called them back... And they never called me again either. I certainly understand that they may have ultimately said that they couldn't have called in the prescription without seeing me in person, but my issue was not that. It was that I left an emergency message, on the line that had instructions about emergency after hour procedures, and I received a call back to my emergency message FOUR days later. Didn't make me feel cared for or make me feel confident about the practice. So, no matter how clean the facility or modern the equipment, I went elsewhere.
