Hotel Sumandeep

It is hardly 2 kms away from Maithon Dam and that is its only USP. Though we did not stay, the hotel did not impress us much. Staff were reluctant and casual in their approach. We had food in their restaurant at first floor. It took more than 45 minutes to serve the dishes. In spite of waiting, the food were very mediocre and tasteless. The property has EV charging station by TATA. Though the charger was live, but did not ultimately worked out. However, another set of EV chargers by Jio-BP has already been installed in the property (though not yet activated). Hopefully it will be beneficial.

Rooms are good but ac is not working, food quality very bad, Need a good management.

The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, offering a cozy atmosphere with all the modern amenities we could need." "The location is perfect — just a short walk to the main attractions yet peaceful at night."

I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Sumandeep International . The food quality was far below expectations — it lacked freshness and taste. There was also a significant delay in preparing the food, which made the wait frustrating and we left the food inbetween. To make things worse, the female staff(baby) was very rude and unprofessional, while eating i ordered a bottle of water, they served it but haven't served the glasses. 7-8 times asked for the glasses but they are not listening,after that i went to the reception and asked for the glass , she(baby) started screaming at me and said i don't know anything and asked me to go downstairs to the reception and check yourself and also said do whatever you want to do , showing no regard for basic customer service. On top of everything, I was handed a false bill with incorrect charges. When i disputed about it then they corrected it manually. This kind of experience is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place and hope the management will seriously looks into improving their service and integrity. At last a humble request to the Owner atleast give a basic customer service training to all the staffs and do the quality checks regularly.
