I am a full time carer for my 95 year old mum and needed some respite. I engaged Home Instead for the first time, so mum could have care in our home and not an aged care facility. All initial contact with staff including the in home visit to explain their services with Naomi was wonderful. During the week of the scheduled care i was so disappointed and upset - it took 1 care giver not to care and not follow the notes I left so mum would get the care she deserves. I had to cut short my much needed respite that was paid accommodation as mum became unwell, because the notes were not followed. This situation has created more stress for me and my RESPITE ruined. I don't normally provide negative reviews, however as I am very upset and disappointed I need to say - I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOME INSTEAD CENTRAL COAST. Reply:- My expectations are simple. I expected the care giver to read and follow the notes i provided, including but not limited to - *putting on a night light for my mum in her room (camera evidence you already have). * charging her hearing aids so she can hear and *give her the food from the food list i provided only. The rest of my concerns will be addressed in a letter via email, provided in due course. I'm sad to say i made a big mistake engaging your services, this situation has caused undue stress. Gaye
