Elmer and his team did an amazing job on our cross-country move. All of our belongings arrived well taken care of, and were unpacked with care. We appreciated their friendliness and their professionalism. I would highly recommend their team for any long-haul move.

They came on time and unloaded the furniture and boxes without any problems. They set up the furniture in the second floor rooms perfectly.

Any delivery relying upon Hilldrup is an assured failure out of the gate. When you take the day off work for the 4 - 8 hour delivery window they give you, they simply do not show up. This "company" is a fly-by-night failure. If the product you purchase is to be delivered by Hilldrup in Maryland (in my case I was expecting a Saatva mattress), buy your product from another manufacturer. I canceled the Saatva mattress I ordered when Hilldrup failed to show up and never called to tell me that they had no intention of delivering my mattress. Hilldrup = Idiots.
Delivery drivers have terrible customer service skills. We were supposed to have an order delivered today and the one foot in one foot representative was very rude and dismissive and lack of attention to detail caused our delivery to be delayed

Great moving experience! They have so much care and love to all of my belongings. Asked many questions and had zero complaints if I changed my mind last second! Highly recommend and I will definitely be using Hilldrup again!

We did an interstate move in two stages last year. For the first stage we used a company (JK Moving - do yourselves a favor and AVOID) which turned out to wholly unethical. I had intended to use the same company for both stages, but the terrible experience with JK Moving led me to look for alternatives. Which led me to Hilldrup and United Van Lines. The video walk through and inventory of our goods was efficient. Any discrepancies were easily and quickly addressed, leading to a quote which was competitive with the others I received. There were a few communication issues on moving day, but the overall process went well. Same at the other end where my goods were delivered. The reason I give five and not just four stars stems from the huge difference in how Hilldrup/United handled our few small claims for damages, compared to the thieves at JK Moving. JK Moving (a scam business, believe me) "sold" me "Full Value Replacement" coverage for our goods, and then during the move they broke an $800 wine fridge and my wife's oak desk, along with a small lamp. After extensive fighting they covered NOTHING from our well-documented claim. On the other hand, with United, we had three small items broken, totaling $300 in replacement costs. We submitted our claim and documentation, and within less than a week the $300 was deposited into our account. No questions asked. AND - they provided Full Value Protection within the bid for the work - no extra scam charge. Ethics are important to me in business. I believe we got a fair price from Hilldrup for the service we needed. Communication was clear and responsive throughout the process, and when we had a problem, they stepped up and made it right immediately. In my experience, this is an ethical business and well worth considering.

Wow! I spent over 20 years in the military and moved several times. This was the smoothest move I’ve had ! First, the estimate was right on! No additional cost at the delivery point. Second, the crew showed up on time treated our stuff like it was theirs, loaded everything and sealed the crate! At the other end they showed us the sealed crate, unloaded and put everything where my wife wanted it… most importantly NOTHING WAS BROKEN OR MISSING!

I arranged for Hilldrup to move a friend's items from Reno NV to the DC area. Hillary delivered to the apartment. They did a great job.
