Great pub

Salads are getting smaller, schnitzels are getting smaller. Chicken schnitzel was a bit greasy. Highbury is one of the most expensive in the area and needs to lift it’s quality. Went 1 month later than first review and things were slightly better, went 2 months later and things were even worse than the first review, gravy like water and salad bowl half full again. Won’t be back.

Normally they are alright, but the last few times they have been quite bad. Tonight was terrible. Burger was the size of a kids meal, chips all hardly cooked. The salt and pepper squid was honestly the worst pub food I have ever seen. Frozen rubbish from a bag without a doubt. Salads we ordered 3 and all were tiny and disappointing. Was a shame we paid upfront because I would have refused to pay for such poor food. Staff were good, waiter offered us free desert or coffee, but even with that was over priced for the terrible standard of food. The whole table left unhappy and hungry. Chef needs to consider a new career as the quality of food coming out of that kitchen was a joke. Staff said the head chef was ‘doing something else’, unless they just picked a random person off the street it would explain the poor food. I would be embarrassed to serve food that looked like that to any house guest I had. Will not be back there anytime soon, such a disappointment.
