It seems like this establishment prioritizes money over the quality of care for patients. I have been going back and forth since I began services here with their receptionist and my insurance companies. They fail to provide claims that back up the outrageously high co-payments and charge medical instead of vision insurance without properly filing claims and itemized receipts that detail the services provided. So unprofessional with long wait times too. Both of my visits had nearly 45-50 minute wait times. I would love to speak to someone on their financial/insurance team because they’ve caused such a headache for me! Highly disappointed. Note for anyone else, do not pay without an itemized receipt first. Smh.

The entire staff are amazing. So professional and accommodating. The exam was thorough and Dr. Rodriguez explained in great detail and with such patience and understanding. The quality and selection of contacts& eyeglasses & sunglasses 👍🏻 They have gained a customer for life.

I went for a regular check up which was acceptable however if you need your glasses for reading don't go there they took 20 days to return my glasses. I paid $250 for my reading glasses. This is unacceptable. Just getting them today 5/11/22.

Doctor Rodriguez was amazing she’s a great Dr. She gave me a lot of info that was very helpful. Made my appointment for 1215 arrived early wasn’t seen until 1250 and I was on my lunch break so that was a little frustrating as well as they didn’t have my exact prescription for my contacts so I went home with contacts that weren’t 100-% the right fit and I wasn’t given my prescription upon leaving. Overall not a bad experience front desk was nice exam was quick.

Stopped by today for an eye exam and some new glasses. This place is relatively new to the neighborhood (about 3 months now). The studio is clean and bright and modern with a touch of character in the exposed brick present. My intake process was decent. The receptionist/administrative assistant greeted me with a smile and indicated there was room to see an optometrist today. Had to register via an old looking paper form - wish there was a paperless/electronic registration process that could be done in-store on-site. Dr. Obacova was AMAZING. She was skilled, thorough, and completely professional. She conducted a standard exam then checked my eye pressure and administered an eye dilation and examination. All the while she explained in detail what she was doing and why. She took care not to press on my eye and head too hard when she needed to maneuver it into proper position for examination. I really wish she was permanent there so I would look forward to going back. As it stands now, I'm worried about my 3 month check up because the check up WON'T be with her... Then there's the frame selection and payment arrangement. This is where things went left (or south, depending on your perspective). Dr. Obocova mentioned prescribing digital lenses that will block certain types of light days from computer screens. The frame consultant (sales rep? have no idea what to call him/them, they never introduced themselves - they just assumed a lot of things and made a number of suggestions) did not mention anything about digital lenses. Dr. Obacova also mentioned that my lenses would be different thickness on the top and the bottom - folks helping me pick frames didn't mention that. All they mentioned was that I was getting a standard lens and had to upgrade to polycarbonate since my frames were part rimless. I had to pay for the poly carbonate lens and chose to pay for anti glare and transition lenses. The price of the lens treatment exceeded that of the glasses by $200. My issue is that I felt I wasn't getting a good value for the money I was spending. The staff didn't introduce themselves, didn't explain what was happening and what I was paying for in detail, and didn't seem to align with what the doctor said regarding My lenses. Much of this process took place while my eyes were dilated - even more reason to be detailed and explain things clearly to me. My receipt for services is an old school paper receipt with a grid structure (similar to an invoice for a price of furniture). It's 2019 - can technology play more of a role? I'm nervous about picking up my glasses in a few days and my follow up appointment. Three stars for the modern clean studio and Dr. Obacova (she gets 5 stars!). The sales team needs to do better.
