After trigger finger surgery I was in great pain and had zero dexterity. After professional therapy at Hands Up (recommended by my hand surgeon)improvement is quickly getting better and better. Thank you Hands Up! Bob G

I have been to Hands Up for 3 different situations (carpal tunnel , thumb locking, and a broken finger with major soft tissue damage ) all in a period of 18 months . I saw all 3 therapists over that period of time twice a week very often . I felt well treated every time personally consulted and responded to ! Before and after 2 surgeries they were truly responsive and I’m forever grateful ! With my luck I’ll be seeing them again in the near future (lol).

I thought a lot about about writing this review. I finally decided to share my experience to give this practice an opportunity to grow, and to give their future patients some useful information. I’ve been going to PT and OT for years because of my autoimmune disease. I’ve been to several practices around town, and I know all the different methods. I was excited to go to this practice after reading all the amazing reviews online. I was skeptical when I first met my therapist, but I decided to give them a chance. I went for a total of 4 sessions. If I was still on the fence for the first 3 sessions, the 4th session made me realize I never wanna go there again. My 4th and last session started with my therapist being late. Sessions are 45 minutes long and they did not give me the time back. When they finally walked in, they put me on heat for 10 minutes, then ultrasound for 10 minutes, and also steam for, you guessed it, 10 minutes. All this time only one of my hands got treated, although I have problem with both of them. They were on their phone and computer for most of the session. In the remaining time, they did a short, hardly notable manual for about 5 minutes and tried to tape my hand at the end (after I told them my PT did it for me last week and it was really helpful). The tape fell off as soon as I left the practice. In my four sessions never have they given me any exercises, and only one time we did stretches. Ever since I started going to this practice, I had to switch my PT to also work on my hands as the sessions at this practice were not impactful. I feel that stretches and exercises should be mandatory when going to OT or PT. And I think doing heat, ultrasound and steam all in one station are a waste of time. Lastly I’ve never seen a PT or an OT spending so much time on their phones or computers while being with a patient. The fact that you have an easy client (quiet and non demanding) does not give you the right to waste their time.

Incredible therapists. After I broke my hand & the cast came off, my orthopedist referred me to Hands Up Occupational Therapy. My therapist, Eleni Lyssikatos, worked hard on helping me regain strength and mobility in my hand. I highly recommend this practice, especially Eleni!

Eleni and Pepie are very professional and helped me recover from a finger injury. From massage to ultrasound therapy to splint, my finger now has better flexibility and I am pretty happy with the result given it was an injury a long time ago. Would highly recommend it!
