I just can’t believe that these guy’s Google reviews were so low! Cody and Wess are two very knowledgeable Mechanics who’ve been in a the business a while. When I needed my Cadillac Converter changed they got me squared away quickly. They are kind and reasonable folks and it’s a good local family business. In my opinion, they deserve at least a 4.5 stars, but I’m giving them 5!
The service here was phenomenal. They scheduled me for the next day when I called, and when I didn't have a ride and had to wait for my inspection, they drove me to a nearby mall that had outdoor seating, Starbucks, and a wifi. They were finished in an hour and came to pick me up again. Finally, they let me pay $50 instead of the few extra dollars because I was looking in my purse for it. I will say, you need cash or check to pay here. Overall great experience, nice people that care, and I highly recommend this shop!
I have been to Gipe Services at least three times for PA inspection and emissions testing, oil changes, and routine maintenance. I try to keep my vehicles in good, safe operating condition. I have never felt pressured or asked to purchase parts or services that I did not specifically need. It is nice to deal with a true family business and not get lost in the shuffle at a mega dealership. There is no "customer lounge", coffee, large screen TV or free donuts. Just people servicing vehicles. How about that for a change?
Utilized the discount through groupon, and received my service at a great discount, so I assure you, getting your car inspected for a total of $26 was most definitely NOT a scam. I had to wait for my car so they gave me an appointment time that ensured they would take my car in immediately. My car was done in under an hour. Definitely a place I would use in threw future.
Please don't let the negative reviews fool you. I too bought the groupon for $19.99. Before I even got my car to Gipe's I knew i might be needing new brakes. However, I did not bring that to their attention. They were booked when i called in to drop off, but they were so nice to accompdate me. I got a call later telling me my car overall was great, but encouraged me to get new front brakes. They did not rip me off! I had already knew this. Had this been a shady shop they would have added to the list. They gave me a phenomenal price, and had my car done before the end of the day. The lady at the front desk was so incredibly nice. She went over my warranty and told me if i have any issues to call them back. One of the young mechanics saw me waiting to be checked out, and greeted me and got my stuff ready while i waited. Little things like that matter. I know nothing about cars but I felt good leaving my car there. This is definitely my repair shop moving forward. I strongly recommend them.
