Garrison Restaurant & Bar

Had mixed experiences here so I am hoping they can lift their game. Staff hit and miss in terms of how friendly they are. Cocktails are top notch. Went with friends for drinks but had to sit in a certain area even though the place was virtually empty , would have been nice to be able to sit near the window but that was only if you were eating. We would have spent a significant amount on drinks and enjoyed the time if not stuffed in a little area . Willing to try again as am sure they work on improving things.

Good sharing plates! Delicious. No tap beer unfortunately, but the choice is still great. Recommended!

We had a boxing day catch-up with friends here. Due to the public holiday, minimal staff was working and it took about 10-15 minutes for seating to our table. The restaurant has a fantastic view over the port Albany. Waiter staff was nice and knowlegeful to suggest menu for us. I had stake but they did not ask how I want. It was nice but a bit over cooked more than as I like. Nasu dengaku is a Japanese dish. It was surprisingly well-cooked and had authentic flavor.

Beautiful place with amazing view, great atmosphere, lovely crew and delicious food. An average rating of 4.0 must be a misunderstanding, because this restaurant is a great place 5/5! The food was beyond all my expectations, I still think about it. If you are in Albany this restaurant is an absolute must visit, I highly recommend it!!

Lovely spot of a restaurant next to the ANZAC museum. It has the same views of the sound, ocean and on top of the mountain. It feels homey and like a cabin kind of feel. On to the food which is why we came here. It was pumping on the night we came here. The open kitchen was working well and you can tell they had it under control. All in all the food was nice, the service nice and warm and the ambience superb. Overall satisfied and thank you for a lovely night..
