My nail service was absolutely phenomenal! KK is truly the best—she’s so talented, attentive, and always makes sure my nails look amazing. I also love that they have availability on Tuesdays, which happens to be my only day off! It makes scheduling an appointment so much easier. I always leave happy with my nails and the experience. I've largely stayed away from nail salons because of a bad (and costly) experience I had many years ago. I recently went on a work retreat and was introduced to the idea of natural nail salons. I didn't know such a thing existed. I did some research for the metro Atlanta area and ended up booking at Frenchie's Smyrna because they had great feedback, were close to my home, and had availability that worked for my schedule. From the moment I entered the salon, it was such a pleasant atmosphere and I was made to feel welcome as they walked me through the entire salon and explained their processes to me, which put me more at ease. I didn't catch the name of my manicurist, but she was nice, gentle, and did a great job. I received a discount as a first time client, which was great. Now that I know what to expect and was very satisfied with their level of cleanliness practices, I will likely return for a pedicure on my next visit. I highly recommend this place for those of us who are more into maintaining our natural nails.

The girls here always treat us like angels. My daughter brought two friends for her 8th birthday and they were so kind and patient to the girls the whole time. It was so incredible and my daughter will never forget it

I wanted to share my experience because I think it’s important to be fair and factual. This was my first time visiting Frenchies Modern Nail Care in Smyrna and my first time getting a builder gel manicure, although I have had regular gel manicures before. I was offered a 25% first-time discount, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. During my first appointment, the technician wasn’t particularly personable or engaging, so I put my AirPods in and watched a podcast while she performed the service. I didn’t think much of it at the time. The service was $95, and I left a $23 tip. Within a week, however, the builder gel began chipping and lifting on 6 of my 10 fingers. I also noticed that my cuticles had not been groomed at all—there was no pushback or trimming. I went back to the salon and spoke with the manager, who was helpful and rescheduled me to have the lifting/chipping repaired. I also asked whether cuticle grooming was included with the builder gel service. She explained that she believed it was included for a first-time service, but that subsequent builder gel appointments are generally a dry service because the nails need to be completely dry before applying the product. I explained that this hadn't been done during my original appointment, and she agreed to have that addressed as well. I returned on 8/7 for the repair. I will say that the technician who assisted me that day was much more personable and engaged in conversation, which I appreciated. However, the cuticles were pushed back but still weren't trimmed. Additionally, only the 6 nails that were visibly chipped/lifting were redone rather than all 10 nails. That seemed odd to me, particularly because the appointment still took approximately an hour and a half. Unfortunately, a week later, I was experiencing the same issue. By 8/12, the builder gel had chipped/lifted again to the point that I was able to pull it off very easily. At this point, I feel that both visits were a significant waste of my time and money. I specifically chose builder gel because I understood it to be a durable service, and I expected it to last considerably longer than a week—especially after having the service corrected. I want to be clear that I'm not accusing anyone of intentionally doing anything wrong or not doing their job. This is simply my personal experience, and unfortunately, I didn't receive the quality of service I expected. I was actually excited to find this salon and support a business where I felt I would be comfortable, but the experience ultimately didn't live up to my expectations. The manager was helpful when I brought the initial issue to her attention, and I appreciate that she attempted to resolve it. Unfortunately, the fact that the same problem occurred again so quickly means I can't say that I'm satisfied with the service. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously, because I would have preferred to become a repeat customer rather than leave a disappointed customer.

This was my first visit and it won’t be my last! I received an email for a discount weekend, so I decided to book. Juliana showed me around the salon and I am glad to know they autoclave and sterilize. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I’m already rebooked and looking forward to trying other services!
