I have been in fieldstone many times during my semester with inquiries about living. I have been welcomed with nothing but warm smiles and friendly responses. One worker in the office was especially helpful. Ashley who worked at the office desk was so kind and sweet to me. She answered all my questions and gave me such a splendid tour. There should be more people like her in this world!!

The fire alarms are unreal. It sounds like a nuclear bomb is about to explode and they go off all the time at any point of the day. Can't even sleep in peace half the time. The rent is also horrible. We got $250 back after enduring at least 20 fire alarms. Why is there a promotion for a free month of rent if you sign up in July or August while people who signed earlier didn't get that same offer? The lease having us pay $1560 for a week in August was also outrageous. The construction still isn't done. The gym was only opened a few weeks into living here. Half the amenities here aren't even usable yet. If it wasn't for the location, I highly doubt anyone would renew their lease. The room itself is fine but man everything else is brutal.

Absolutely horrible experience a month in. Would not recommend to anyone. We have only been able to live here for 35 days and the fire alarms have gone off about 20 times. The management then has the audacity to blame students for setting it off rather than addressing their own faulty system. The rent is extremely overpriced and the building has not been able to hold any promises. As originally advertised, there was supposed to be parking available for us, but instead they made us park 1 mile away from the building in Lot 22 or Lot 11 despite there being 4 parking lots next to the building available for "off-campus students" which is how we have to classify for meal plans. However when it comes to parking, we're classified as on-campus. This means we're being inconvenienced for BOTH parking and our meal plan as well. They promised us free Wi-FI and then made us use the U-Mass wifi, which we technically pay for in our tuition. Not to mention it is incredibly unreliable especially when it comes to phones and laptops as well as other devices such as SmartTV's, Firesticks, and Xbox's. On top of this, we were promised a fitness center, a bouldering wall and a cafe. When we first moved in, none of this was available and was still under heavy construction. The fitness center was not complete until 6 days ago and the rock wall and cafe are STILL not complete. Now that it's fully done, for whatever reason they leave the door to the fitness center open so that ANYONE can get in as long as they get through the front door, which is incredibly easy. With all of this incomplete, they still have the audacity to charge us full rent even though they have not lived up to one promise. In August, they made us pay for a full month's rent despite them not allowing us to move in until the 25th. Then charged us ANOTHER full months rent 7 days later on the September 1st. Although the apartments themselves are nice, everything else has been a dumpster fire.

Would absolutely not recommend at all. Absolutely ridiculous that they blame us students for the faulty wiring of their fire alarms. A fire alarm doesn't go off that often unless the wiring is faulty, period. Actually investigate the fire alarms by hiring EXPERIENCED electricians. To add insult to injury, the maintenance number and office number might as well not exist, because nobody answers the phone during business hours. I've tried calling during every single business hour possible during every single business day for a week straight since I moved in. I left countless voicemails and nobody answered. Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of their apartments too. Would absolutely not recommend at all. Hey Fieldstone, when you read this, STOP updating your google profile for this business and START listening to us residents about our complaints! I will be escalating this situation if things are not remedied soon.

Oversensitive fire alarms, poor communication, overpriced & over advertised. Fieldstone advertises comfort, amenities, and convenience. Well as I write this, we just had the second fire alarm of the night go off, this one at 4:40 AM. In the last month of living here (actually less than 1 month) there have been 15 fire alarms that I have been present for, I have been keeping a tally (but there have definitely been even more that I haven’t been present for, according to other residents!) and management does not give real explications or reasons, rather they send out poorly communicated emails about “ways to prevent the fire alarms” that place the blame onto the residents, when clearly there must be a greater issue at hand for the constant alarms. Like I genuinely feel like this must be illegal to have so many false fire alarms. It’s -alarming- 😆 but jokes aside, it’s actually really stressful and once the alarm is shut off, there are never any explanations! Besides all this, the construction projects are not done yet, which I understand that the management is bothered by too, but they continue to advertise amenities online that aren’t available- like the cafe, study lounges. BEYOND THAT, the rent is extremely high, which is just UNJUSTIFIABLE at this point given that it is extremely uncomfortable living in a building that has had 15 false fire alarms sound in less than the first 30 days. I am developing real anxiety from waking up in the middle of the night to such loud fire alarms, on many occasions now, and I wish the Fieldstone staff would compensate us financially for this trouble because with such a high cost of rent, I expected amenities, comfort, and convenience as advertised. Not construction, distress from constant fire alarms, and inconveniences.
