Starved

Tried Starved for the first time last night don't normally leave reviews but had to! Staff were lovely and friendly and the burgers were amazing , we couldn't eat it all. Would highly recommend the chicken burgers 100% chicken fillet and the home made chips were fantastic will be going back!

Me and my partner have been getting burgers from Starved for a while now, they are just fantastic every time. Had burgers from ALOT of places this place is the best by a country mile. Cooked fantastic, burgers are massive, amazing taste and top notch prices. What else can you ask for. If you haven’t tried this place yet you need to give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Thank you to the people at Starved, you’re all doing an amazing job.

Ordered chicken doner but got some kind a marinated chicken chunks. Not what I ordered n to top it off its canny cold! Bit of a piss take really

Sensational burgers, some of the best in the north-east, easily the best in Washington. The billionaire is excellent. The only criticism of this place? It’s only open one day a week. 😭😭😭

If you want a banging burger, side of chicken tenders, fries, friendly staff, good atmosphere, go here, if you're boring don't bother

Great food and very good value for money

Best place for a burger by a mile in this part of the northeast, been going for over a year now every Friday so that says something. Starved burger is the 1 to get.

We arnt local and Google brought us here. I can only describe the food as magical ! Recommend - will be looking for excuses to head back up here from Teeside. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Small chicken parmo was absolutely amazing delivered on time and really fresh and hot amazing chips with it too.

Had their special tonight, the mini chicken parmo...it is absolutely lovely and definitely not mini...I'm stuffed lol. The chicken is lovely and tender and juicy, fries cooked to perfection, sauces lovely. They take great pride in their shop and it was all boxed up in neat packaging and containers. Because there was a slight delay the man in the shop was absolutely lovely...he even brought it out to us in the car. Thank you :)

Another superb burger! Starved never disappoints. I had the Meat Feast burger this time around and it was a very satisfying messy mouthful. Really tasty well cooked patties and a nice slice of brisket. Plenty of tasty chorizo chunks and garlic mayo to add some further flavour punches. A small disappointment that they didn't include some pickles like I requested because they always make a burger more enjoyable in my opinion. The crispy onions would have added a nice crunch but went pretty soft. It was still a very high quality burger and I'd definitely recommend it (as well as many other items on their menu). They have a little eat-in area which is cosy and has the tunes pumping out too which made for a nice environment to stuff my face. Previous visit: Delicious Sunday scran! I've had some fantastic burgers here but their new Sunday Roast offering is top notch too. I had the stottie which was massive with loads of tasty lean meat and packed with delicious stuffing. The roasties it came with were fantastic too. Beautifully crisp and great flavour. I added a yorkshire and some carrots & parsnips to make ot a bigger feast. I wish I'd got additional gravy though ut also think they should provide some with the stottie anyway. As always the service was efficient and the staff are lovely. Another previous visit: Another bangin burger! Once I got a glimpse of their new menu addition the 'Starved' burger, I knew I had to go back for a fresh fix after enjoying amazing scran last time around. A delightful stack of big beautifully crisp chicken tenders and 2 nicely cooked smash beef patties with chorizo chunks sprinkled in too for an extra flavour punch. I made sure to get pickles added because they enhance any burger in my opinion. The buns they use are superb and make every bite so satisfying. Whilst writing this review I've remembered a missing factor though! The fried chicken was supposed to be glazed but mine came plain. I feel I'd have enjoyed it even more with that so that makes me slightly disappointed now. It also frustrates me when places don't serve things correctly. It won't stop me from returning but I'll be more vigilant next time! The guy serving was sound too and was very efficient. Everyone is human and we all make mistakes. It's definitely a place that will go from strength to strength over time. Another previous visit: Amazing scran! The 'Billionaire' burger was superb! Delicious patties and pulled brisket. The bun was soft but stayed solid. The house sauce was really tasty and the sweet relish on the bottom bun added great additional flavour. I also had the Fancy Chips. These were fantastic. Proper chunky, crispy and fluffy potato. Plenty of cheese and garlic mayo. I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite and ended up delightfully full. The guy serving it out was sound too. Definitely somewhere I'll eat from again!

popped in today for the kids and the portions were huge,,chicken melts in your mouth ,the chips are huge chunky chips with plenty cheese on,,def be back,,also polite service and the place looked super clean,very impressed 👌

Second day in a row ordering from here, food is made to perfection, not sloppy or greasy. Very well presented, portion size just right, good quality take out boxes. Food tasted so fresh and well cooked, Drinks were amazing milkshakes are perfect and found my new favourite drink the cherry lemonade. Would definitely recommend we all love it, the two men running it are so polite and friendly, loved hearing you sing 😂 Area is spotless clean, will definitely be coming back more often 10/10 recommend

Probably the best burger i have ever tasted ... super duper. Staff is so friendly.. nice people.. and the best thing is food is halal here...
