Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2022. A brilliant hotel at a convenient location in Ermoupolis, just opposite the ferry port and within a walking distance to an abundance of shops and restaurants. A very clean, spacious, quiet, tastefully decorated room with a comfortable bed and an excellent view of the sea and the ferries. Even though the room overlooked the harbour, all the hustle and bustle of the seafront was blocked, once the windows were closed (double-glazing). Surely a value for money hotel. Would happily stay here again.

My experience was wonderful! The hotel owners who manage the hotel are super helpful, smiling always and welcoming. The room is neat nice and simple, we had all what we need in the room. The breakfast was super generous and served with love. The location of the hotel is amazing, close to the port and to nice attractions. Grateful for the vibes of this hotel and the people there.

The room was not big but spacious enough, with tasteful decoration that made it very pleasant, same like the rest of the hotel. The bathroom had an adequate sized shower but a small water basin with no space for your staff. The hotel and the room was extremely clean. It had views over the port, but as it was in a busy part of the port they were not that relaxing. A bit noisy, but as expected. On the other hand the noise of the refrigerator was more annoying and it had to be turned off during the night. Another thing that the hotel should take care of is putting black out curtains in all windows and not just in one. The daylight could not be stopped. There are external window shields but they are not easy to handle. I also had a difficult time adjusting the air conditioning at a pleasant mode, which I think I failed doing so. You can also have breakfast at 8 euros. I didn't as the restaurant was not privileged orientated to the morning sun.

Esperance 1 is a great hotel. We had a wonderful accomodation. It has rooms with seaview, near the port, the center of Ermoupolis and the bus station ( in case you don't have a car). Very Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms and cleaning every day. Worth it.

Good for a night or two, especially if you have a 4am ferry as it's across the road to the ferry port! Friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable and clean room with kettle and fridge. Great little bar/ cafe just up side road. Hotel drinks prices were a bit steep. Would stay again if we had a very early start.
