Escape Campervans

I rented a smaller van (ford-transit sized) for 6 days and drove a circular route thru the mountains, out to utah then back to denver via sand dunes and pikes peak. The van was perfect for me- a little battered on the outside and mechanically sound - although everything behaved as I would expect on a vehicle approaching 300,000 miles... I had a great and very relaxed time- covered 1300 miles with a big grin on my face. Staff extremely helpful and friendly too!

We loved the new van with the pop-up roof!! Only real issue was the cruise control not working. Also I recommend getting an extra bedding kit so you can sleep on 2 pillows, or maybe just but extra pillows at Walmart or something!

Escape Campervans Review: A Cautionary Tale for Solo Female Travelers As a solo female traveler, safety and reliability are my top priorities. Unfortunately, my experience with Escape Campervans from their Denver location was far from satisfactory. Positive Aspects: - The reservation and pickup processes were smooth, and the staff member during pickup was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the inclusion of some complimentary items that were helpful during my trip. - Many staff members I spoke to on the phone were caring and attentive, taking notes on my reservation. Major Issues: 1. Water Quality and Accessibility: Upon starting my rental, I found the water tank contained dirty, slimy water. Attempting to re-fill the tank was a hassle because a water hose was not provided. Upon notifying the office staff, I was met with a defensive and unprofessional response. 2. Bed Malfunction: On the second day, the bed frame broke due to faulty latches on the drawers. Despite reaching out to the emergency line, I received minimal support, adding stress to my trip. Option provided to me was to cut short my trip and return the van. I was left to ask local for help with removing broken parts so as to continue with the rest of my trip. 3. Lack of Emergency Tools: The van lacked basic tools for emergencies. There was also no tools available to remove broken parts of the bed. The only provided tool was a tire pressure gauge. I was unprepared for having to fill air into the tires myself, so I had to spend time out of my vacation to find a Valvoline to help with it. 4. Unpleasant Return Experience: I was met with rudeness when I returned the van early due to severe altitude sickness. The employee was dismissive, charged me for extra fees despite previous assurances of reimbursements, and failed to provide necessary information regarding vehicle insurance and assistance. 5. Unprofessional Behavior: The employee made several derogatory comments about my status as an “out of towner,” adding to an already stressful situation. His lack of assistance during a minor accident in the parking lot of the office, after returning the van was particularly disheartening. In the end, I felt my experience was marred by a lack of support, reliability, and professionalism. I cannot recommend Escape Campervans at this time, especially for solo travelers from out of state seeking a safe and reliable experience.

Our second time using Escape Campervans for a trip. First in SLC, this time from Denver. Both experiences were excellent. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Pricing is very reasonable and helps make it possible to have an amazing trip on a budget. We had an awesome trip thru Colorado in “Prickles”. I would definitely recommend if you are interested in a campervan trip!!

Great experience! Our first time renting a campervan. My husband and I rented a Maverick in Denver for a Colorado National Parks roadtrip on Oct 2024. We were comfortable. The bed was a good size. Escape Campervans provided us with the neccesary accesories to be warm and comfortable, including pillows, duvet/comforters and mattress topper-highly recommended. The campervan experience was worth it and we would rent again! Thanks!!

It might be old; the refrigerator drawer with its own battery and additional solar panel charging was great) The two campervans (we changed vehicles in Salt Lake City (6 days later) due to a broken air conditioner (after 15 days on the road – no cooling or heating working) (it wasn't particularly pleasant with temperatures of 4°C and 32°C outside) Both campervans were 11 years old The vehicle had 360,000 miles on it and 280,000 miles on it. The size of the vehicle was very good (not too big and not too small). We always found a toilet (restroom in the campground, on the highway, or in the national park), and we used a water canister for a shower if needed. The on-site staff (check-in) and the support team (phone/email) were very friendly and professional. The person at check-out was very unfriendly. (Original) Unsere Erwartungen - dreißig Tage unterwegs zu zweit zwischen Seattle und Denver (ca. 5.500km, 6 Nationalparks) wurden erfüllt und waren gut und wir würden die Reise auf diese Art empfehlen, die bemalten Fahrzeuge waren sehr attraktiv (wir wurden darauf häufig angesprochen) -> -Transport (ca 100Meilen pro Tag) in Ordnung - Verbrauch ca. 16-18 l/100km, Sprit 40% billiger als in Deutschland -Schlafmöglichkeit (Bett schnell aufgebaut und bequem und groß genug (wir sind nicht so groß - 175cm), -Kochmöglichkeit (bei der Abnahme den "Gasherd" auf Funktionalität prüfen! da ggfs. alt, Kühlschrank als Schublade mit eigener Batterie und zusätzlicher Solarpanelladung super) Die beiden Campervans (wir haben wegen defekter Klimaanlage (nach 15 Tagen unterwegs - keine Kühlung und keine Heizung funktionell) das Fahrzeug in Salt Lake City (6 Tage später) gewechselt (war halt bei 4 Grad bzw. 32 Grad Außentemperatur nicht besonders angenehm) Die beiden Campervans hatten 11 Jahre auf dem Buckel und 360.000 Meilen bzw. 280.000 Meilen Die Größe vom Fahrzeug war sehr gut (nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein), Toilette hatten wir immer gefunden (Restroom im Campground oder am Highway oder im Nationalpark), Dusche ggfs aus dem Kanister) Das dienstleistende Personal vor Ort (Checkin), Störungsannahme über Telefon / E-Mail war sehr freundlich und professionell. Die Person beim Checkout war sehr unfreundlich.

Super nice employees and such a fun way to see cool places like the National Parks!! This was our 3rd time renting from Escape Campervans and they are top notch!

Traveled in an escape van, the Mesa for 2 weeks. Left Denver and proceeded to Yellowstone, ,Grand Tetons and Northern Idaho. The staff at the Denver office were great. Explained things well. My only issue was misunderstanding of the number of sleeping areas in the van itself. There was only 1 bed. I will know better next time. I will rent from Denver again. No mechanical issues.

We got the ”Maverick” Van and had the best time ever with our ”Painted Feathers” Van aka ”Freddy”. The staff in Denver was really nice and everything worked out very well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to rent a van for a road-trip! Thank you so much Escape!

Great customer service, cool vans, fun experience

Escape campervans in Denver had very helpful and excellent service. A fantastic experience. I live in Norway and it was easy to book online I had a delay in my schedule and they accommodated my itinerary changes. I went from Denver to Utah and to Steamboat visiting relatives and friends and camping along the way. It was so nice to have a home on wheels. I rented the bedding, electric and kitchen packages so no worries on buying and getting rid of unwanted items. I will definitely do it again. ❤️🥰
