El Centro is such a valuable resource for me. I just moved to Staten Island from Rye, in Westchester ,where I lived for 17 years. I felt lost in terms of household help. Then I saw an article about El Centro. I called and spoke to Natalie, who is terrific. So far she's sent me a man to do heavy garden work, a man to move furniture out of storage, a skilled carpenter, whom I've used more than once, and a woman to clean my house (I needed someone not afraid of dogs). Try El Centro. Chances are they have what you're looking for, without those pesky phone calls from household help "list" websites. This is my real name and I stand by what I've written.
