Desert Blossom Health and Rehabilitation

Edit to my previous review: my grandmother is now admitted to a hospital with signs of C-Diff colitis which could have only come from this facility. Please really think hard before coming here or bringing your family members here. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Where do I begin? God forbid “Veronica” does her job and helps those who ask. If you ask her for help or if she sees you walking her way her eyes roll so far to the back of her head I’m surprised she can still see straight. If you have a family member here make sure you bring them their own wash cloths. If you ask the nurses for one of theirs they tell you there aren’t any because they’re all dirty and being cleaned…all day everyday… The rooms are absolutely horrendous and if you ask for help cleaning it you get met with attitude and “I’m busy right now”. It amazes me that this is one of the better rated facilities because if THIS is what you call a “good facility”, I can’t imagine the others. But in a way I sort of understand…1 CNA for 19 patients? That’s absolutely ridiculous and would frustrate anyone! Luckily the CNAs are more understanding and actually TRY to help you…but don’t rely on the nurses for anything. It’s just one huge inconvenience for them. Don’t even get me started on the useless case workers, either. I watched one sit there and fight and argue back and forth with my family over something so simple. Imagine applying for this job and being so miserable that you feel the need to make all these patients lives miserable. Someone from the state really needs to pay a little surprise visit to this place and investigate. I knew places like this get bad reps but after seeing it firsthand, this is abuse and neglect. DO NOT COME HERE!

This facility was a pleasant surprise. It appears old but most of it has been remodeled and it was very clean. All the staff was wonderful, nurses,aides,everyone. The physical therapists were all very professional and went out of their way to make sure my treatment was appropriate for my injury. If I had to go in to a rehabilitation center again I would definitely choose this one. Very impressed. Only problem was that the facility was always cold. Had to wrap up in blankets or go outside to get warm. But this is a minor issue

Desert Blossom Health & Rehab provides excellent patient care! I would recommend to anyone looking for a trusted place to provide care to a loved one! They have an amazing team of healthcare workers that put the patients' needs first. The staff around here is always so polite and willing to lend a helping hand! Great communication from the staff-Thank you to Desert Blossom for their hard work!

my grandma is currently a patient here and is complaining of severe neglect. She currently cannot walk, the nursing staff refuses to help her use the bathroom, leaving her to sit in her own bodily fluids for hours. whenever she calls the nurse button, she is ignored for hours as well and is greeted with “what do you want” whenever they finally do decide to come into her room. The nurses are very rude to her. she is in pain and not being cared for. do not send your family here, this facility does not care.

The team at Dessert Blossom has gone above and beyond. Super happy with the care that was provided while here. Facility was clean and quieter than expected. You’ve got my support Desert Blossom.
