Circles of Hair - Subiaco

I started coming to this place after my stylist retired and I am a colour girly - might as well try different colours while I’m young! From the 1st appointment I was treated well, welcomed. No-one was snobby, everyone was friendly. They also double as baristas - they make you a drink during the times where you have to wait for the stylist or product to work. They are a teaching salon - they have interns that are cheaper to book for a treatment but they also float & learn from senior stylists. All interns I have interacted with are keen to learn, listen well to the client & ask questions/for help when they need it - I have not witnessed any cowboys/rogue interns. They have been Stella! You can choose your stylist or get allocated one if you don’t select one. They are LGBTQA+ friendly. Every time I have come here for a new colour to try (multiple colours and different designs), the stylists have been honest (it would take multiple sessions or it would damage my hair) and work to make what I want a reality. So definitely recommend for colour & style!

Had full head of foils which tuned out amazing and the girls were beautiful highly recommend

Such a good experience, the team here are fantastic! Nothing was too hard and they went above and beyond to achieve what I wanted. They were thorough with bringing up photos and references helping with the creative decision making process. Just a great vibe and great results!

I was really looking forward to going back to Circles of Hair to see Mark, as he gave me a couple of very good haircuts a few years ago. Unfortunately, I left the salon feeling very anxious and like my hair had been butchered. After a long streak of bad haircuts, I had finally reached a length I was happy with( just past my shoulders). The first thing I said was that I wanted to let it grow and just have it tidied up and evened out. I thought he understood as we did about 10min consultation. Although he didn't take much off the length at the back, he thinned out the lowest part of my hair so much that on the front right side I'm only a few strands away from having a bob. The two sides now have a very noticeable difference in density and length.There is no layers but just a big jump from the bottom lenght and the top part. I mean for someone with very curly hair this is just a disaster. I'll have to straighten my hair from now on while I wait for it to grow back again and whatever he did does not look good even when it's straight. I'm absolutely gutted and have completely lost faith in finding a good hairdresser. To top it off, I had my blow-dry done by an apprentice, it took a very long time and I could tell straight away it wasn't going to last half an hour outside. My roots were still curly, and I ended up having to redo it myself at home. I wanted to come home feeling beautiful, but instead I'm just feeling devastated, this must be worst haircut I ever got. Absolutely ruined my hair.

Worst service ever! Just for reducing hair they asked for 50 dollars extra. Would recommend to not come here!

Tyler was unbelievable- he’s the true definition of a creative director - super smart at hair health, caring and knows exactly how to make you look quite expensive! Loved it and this hair studio is next level!

I cannot recommend Hannah W. at Circles of Hair highly enough! After a long hair journey trying to find the right colour, Hannah absolutely nailed it. I came in wanting a rich, dimensional copper that suited my skin tone and lifestyle, and somehow she knew exactly what to do from the moment I sat in her chair. Not only is the colour stunning, but the cut is perfect too. It has movement, shape, and feels incredibly healthy. Hannah took the time to listen, offered honest professional advice, and created a look that feels completely "me" while still being fresh and exciting. What impressed me most was her confidence and expertise. She didn't just follow a formula—she understood my hair, my goals, and the overall look I was trying to achieve. The result exceeded my expectations and I've received so many compliments since. We had such a wonderful experience here! I got a short haircut from Hannah last month, and she did an absolutely amazing job, I love my new look! Amy also took care of my daughter's haircut today, and she was fantastic. She was incredibly patient and handled everything perfectly, and my daughter completely loves her new hair. Thanks!
