Vehicle wouldn't start so RACQ was called. They told my wife the battery is fine it's the starter motor, it did start for them & my wife drove it straight to Christine Avenue Mechanical. Later that day they rang my wife to say it was ready. My wife asked if I had given permission to go ahead & they replied they didn't contact anyone they just went ahead & replaced it. They replaced the original genuine stater motor with the cheapest one you could get. 6 weeks later it became extremely noisy & failed & done damage to the flex plate & now the gearbox has to be removed to have the damaged parts replaced & they say it had nothing to do with what they did but funny enough there was no problem before the original starter motor was replaced & the RACQ break down technician can confirm that. The original starter motor lasted 12 years & approx 150,000km & the one they supplied & fitted lasted 6 weeks & approx 1100km. So now they have wiped their hands of the repair because they're looking at approx $800- $1000 in labour charges, so the vehicle had to be towed from their workshop. They were extremely rude & arrogant to my wife when the vehicle needed to be loaded onto the tow truck & refused to move one of their vehicles out of the way. Absolute disgraceful customer service & behaviour. Used every excuse they could find to deny it was the starter motors fault. They're all smiles up until there's an issue & it's deny, deny, deny. I'd leave negative 100 stars if I could. I have been in the mechanical trade for over 30 years & they're trying to tell me it's just coincidence. Hmmmm original starter motor lasts for 12 years and about 150,000km.....the one you put in last 6 weeks and about 1100km, you do the math. Then they turn around and say I was abusive. Absolute joke !!!

Even though they are were very busy. The manager was very helpful and pulled someone away for 5 minutes, to do a quick diagnoses and confirm my suspicions. If I wasn't travelling through they'd be looking after all 5 of my cars for sure.

Been taking my car here since moved to Queensland, top mechanics wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Would highly recommend 👌🏼. Especially for single mums these guys no what they are doing and will not rip you off. My car prrrrrrs like a cat now. My V8 statesman never sounded so good. Thanks 😊 dudes you guys are totes best mechanics in Queensland if not Australia.... oh apart from my dad 😁

If you are a female wanting a good mechanic who won't rip you off and treat you lovely, these are your guys! I have been with Christine Ave Mechanical for a few years and even after moving south, I still take my car to them. They are reasonable in pricing, honest and efficient. I recommend them all the way!

1st timer & I found the guys to be very competent mechanics. Great job I definitely will be going back Cheers. Well I went back for a starter motor repair & again I got very honest excellent service.👍
