The best fresh seafood shop in the shire. I am a fisherman and after years of trying many seafood shops in the area this place is my one stop shop. I buy all my fresh fish and sashimi here. it’s the freshest. Good quality and well sourced . They will take the bones out for you after selecting the fillets. The oysters, shellfish are also fresh. The cooked seafood is also good quality.
The seafood is consistently great at this shop. Yesterday I got a dozen coffin bay oysters and a kilo of tiger prawns and they were fantastic. Staff are alway friendly and their seafood is awesome. I would highly recommend this shop.
I have been here multiple times with no issues. But, I came on Good Friday (07/04/23) at about 03:15pm and ordered 2 seafood baskets. Absolutely disappointed! I thought it was going to be good based on past experiences plus it being Good Friday but it was actually barley even edible. $30 thrown in the trash. The cocktails were lukewarm, and had no taste and had a very cardboard texture to it. The chips were barley warm, and soggy. The calamari tasted like off milk and overcooked. It was so disappointing. It was like we got the end of the day scraps. The mum that also served us had a bit attitude. She wouldn't let me swap out the prawn cutlets for cocktails because they're not "changeable" apparently. I didn't think it would be hard to just cook 4 calamari instead of 2 cutlets and 2 calamari.
Love to drop in here and get a fried fish with fries when I'm in the area. Compared to some of the fish and chips shops in the Sutherland Shire which started really good but then couldn't maintain a high quality of their food, this shop has still kept a very high quality and superb taste. Also very convenient as you can just grab other things in the supermarket or the gourmet deli.
The Grilled Barramundi and Greek salad was okay but definitely nothing to rave about. I'm not sure I would be willing to return if I'm honest. I gave three stars but maybe two would've been more fair. The fish for sale looked nice and fish thought.
