Austin Better Birth Midwifery

My experience was with midwife Jennifer Timbs. From the very first phone call she felt like the right person to guide me through my first pregnancy. She was patient, empathic, reassuring & funny! Aside from her bedside manner I never ever doubted her competency. My first visit I believe I had 45 questions (not an exaggeration) she answered them all! When it was go time she was there again to reassure & make sure medically everything was going according to plan, she let me listen to my body & we had a smooth delivery. She always made sure that I was prepared but not scared of all the possible outcomes at every stage and for any test. She did a few post delivery visits for me & baby & I WISH she was a pediatrician…I would never leave her! Love her & wish her all the best in ALL she does!!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Jen! Jen took over my care 20 weeks into my pregnancy when I firmly decided that a hospital birth wasn't the ideal setting for me going into my first birth. She was so warm and reassuring from the moment we met and both myself and my partner both felt every step of the way like she listened to our questions, concerns, and plans for our day with enthusiasm and care. She was a wealth of knowledge in preparing ourselves and my birth space to make it as comfortable and serene a day as possible. My daughter arrived on a very cold January morning in 2018 and it was a long day with some surprises along the way, but the support and guidance we had from Jen and the way she allowed me to make each decision that felt best for my body made it such an empowering and beautiful experience and one where my daughter's papa bear was able to be so hands on and involved. After 13 hours of waiting and working, she arrived and Jen got us acquainted with the brand new person in our arms and made sure that we felt absolutely comfortable and prepared before she left us, also checking in often in the weeks and months following our final visit. The support was unparalleled and I owe the truly special experience I had meeting my daughter to Jen's guidance in so many ways. Every time I look around my daughter's room and remember how I got to meet her there, I think of Jen and how she helped make that possible. Thank you so much!!

Jenn was my Midwife for two of my babies; both were water births. She went out of her way to make sure I had the births I wanted. I'm forever grateful for the care I got from her.

Wonderful experience 2 times! Caring, respectful, trustworthy midwife who answered my texts, calls, and concerns all in a timely manner. We were laughing while I was in labor, she was hands off when needed and hands on when needed. It was great having such trust and great outcomes with my provider for my two homebirths!

My first home birth was such a wonderful experience , I felt comfortable throughout my whole pregnancy and birth with this midwife. Hopefully she will be my midwife for every birth! Thank you, thank you for a wonderful experience!
